COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL RESOLUTION MADE ON THE TWENTY-FIRST DAY OF JULY, 1916.
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Cook County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for constructing a part of the Tokonui Road, the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two-fifths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Tokonui Number 2 Special-rating District, comprising Puninga 4B 2, Puninga 4B 1, Puninga 5, Puninga 3A 3B, Puninga 4A, part Small Grazing-run 40 (3,770 acres), part Section 3, Block X, all in the Nuhaka North Survey District ; part Section 3, Maraetaha 2 ; Section 2, Block III, Nuhaka North Survey District ; Maraetaha 2C ; Sections 2 and 3, Blocks II and III, Nuhaka North Survey District. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be four and a half per cent.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cook was hereto affixed in the presence of—

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
MARTYN AND PALAIRET.
N OTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between us, the undersigned, WILLIAM BRENDON MARTYN and FREDERICK BATEMAN PALAIRET, carrying on business at Gisborne and Morrinsville as Sheep-farmers, under the style or firm of “Martyn and Palairet,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st day of March, 1916.
The said WILLIAM BRENDON MARTYN will continue to carry on the said business in his name, and will pay and discharge all debts and liabilities of the said firm, and receive all moneys due and payable to them.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hastings Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £13,600, authorized to be raised by the Hastings Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, and under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and its amendments, to be expended in the construction and provision of the following works and things :—
Sewer extensions pumping-station and contingencies, including the purchase or acquisition of lands through which to lay any portion of the said sewers £ 5,300
