RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE OVER WAIMAI VALLEY
SPECIAL-RATING DISTRICT AS SECURITY FOR A LOAN OF
£350.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf enabling by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1913, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £350, authorized to be raised by the
Raglan County Council, under the provisions of the Counties
Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and in particu-
lar by section 18 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
with the consent of the Governor in Council under section 26
of the Appropriation Act, 1915, as gazetted on page 1779,
Gazette, 1916, being an additional amount of ten per cent.
on the original loan of £3,500 raised by the said Council for
the purpose of forming and metalling the Waimai Valley
Road within the Waimai Valley Special-rating District of the
said county, and which the original loan of £3,500 has not
been sufficient to complete, the aforesaid sum of £350 to
be expended in completing the works authorized by the
original loan proposal, the Raglan County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth of a penny in
the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property
in the Waimai Valley Special-rating District of the Raglan
County. The boundaries of the said special-rating district
are as follows:—
Commencing at the coast-line at the north-western corner
of Section B 12K, Te Akau, of Block XIII, Awaroa Survey
District; thence east along the northern boundaries of Sec-
tions B 12K, B 12L, and B 12I to the north-western boundary
of Section B 12I; thence south along the eastern boundaries
of Sections B 12I and B 9 No. 1 to the north-western corner
of Section B No. 2; thence north and east along the northern
boundaries of Sections B Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 to the north-
east corner of Section 6; thence running east taking in
600 acres of Section 215 of Block XV to the north-eastern
corner of Section 178; thence south and east along the
eastern boundaries of Section 178 and the northern and
eastern boundaries of Section 179 to the south-eastern corner
of Section 179; thence south and west and north to the
north-western corner of Section 177; thence west along the
southern boundary of Section 172 to the south-western
boundary of same section; thence west taking in portion of
Section 191 to the Te Akau Riding boundary-line; thence
south along such boundary-line to the south-eastern corner
of Section 1 of Block 111; thence west along the southern
boundaries of Sections 1 and 2 of Block 111, and 1 and 2
of Block II, and Sections B 12H and B 12B to the coast-
line; thence north along the coast-line to the point of com-
mencement.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-
yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of 36½ years, at the rate of interest of £4 10s.
per centum per annum, together with an additional half-
yearly payment to provide the necessary sinking fund, or
until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Raglan County Council held at Ngaruawahia on the 12th
day of July, 1916.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and In-
habitants of the County of Raglan has hereunto been affixed
this 12th day of July, 1916, in the presence of—

RATING DISTRICT AS SECURITY FOR LOAN OF £80.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf enabling by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1913, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as fol-
lows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £80, authorized to be raised by the
Raglan County Council, under the provisions of the Counties
Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and in particu-
lar by section 18 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
with the consent of the Governor in Council under section 26
of the Appropriation Act, 1915, as gazetted on page 1779,
Gazette, 1916, being an additional amount of ten per cent.
on the original loan of £800 raised by the said Council for
the purpose of forming and metalling the Tikotiko Road
within the Tikotiko Special-rating District of the said county,
and which the original loan of £800 has not been sufficient
to complete, the aforesaid sum of £80 to be expended in
completing the works authorized by the original loan pro-
posal, the Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of one-tenth of a penny in the pound upon
the rateable value of all rateable property in the Tikotiko
Special-rating District of the Raglan County. The boundaries
of the said special-rating district are as follows:—
Commencing at the eastern corner of Section 1 of Block 1,
Whangape Parish; thence running north and west along
the eastern and northern boundaries of the same section;
thence south along the western boundary of the same section
to the block-line at the eastern corner of Section part 27;
thence following the said block-line to the south-eastern
corner of Section 35; thence running south and west to the
eastern boundary of Section 34; thence north to the north-
eastern corner of Section 34; thence west and south along
the northern and western boundaries of Sections 34 and 31A
to the Naike Stream; thence running south along the Naike
Stream to the south-western corner of Section 25; thence
running east taking in portion of Section 26 to the Manga-
piko Stream; thence east and north along the western
and northern banks of the Mangapiko and Awaroa Streams
to the point of commencement.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the 1st day of January in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, at

WOODLEIGH SPECIAL-RATING DISTRICT AS SECURITY FOR
LOAN OF £50.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf enabling by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £50, authorized to be raised by the Raglan
County Council, under the provisions of the Counties Act,
1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and in particular
by section 18 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and with
the consent of the Governor in Council under section 26 of
the Appropriation Act, 1915, as gazetted on page 1779,
Gazette, 1916, being an additional amount of ten per cent. on
the original loan of £500 raised by the said Council for the
purpose of metalling the Bothwell-Woodleigh Road within
the Bothwell-Woodleigh Special-rating District of the said
county, and which the original loan of £500 has not been
sufficient to complete, the aforesaid sum of £50 to be expended
in completing the works authorized by the original loan
proposal, the Raglan County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of one-fortieth of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the
Bothwell-Woodleigh Special-rating District of the Raglan
County. The boundaries of the said special-rating district
are as follows:—
Commencing at the coast-line at the south-western corner
of Section B 18, Te Akau; thence running east and north
and then east along the southern and eastern boundaries of
Section B 18, Te Akau, the eastern boundaries of Sections B 27
and B 25, Te Akau, and along the southern boundary of Sec-
tion B 24, Te Akau, to the south-eastern corner of Section B 24,
Te Akau; thence north and east along the western and
northern boundaries of Section 119A to the north-eastern
boundary of same section; thence south to the south-eastern
boundary of the same section; thence running east along the
northern boundaries of Sections 119, 2, 3, of Block VI, and
Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 21, 37, 36, 25, 26, 32, and 28, to the
south-eastern boundary of Section 26; thence east along the
northern boundaries of Sections 27 and 31A to the north-
eastern corner of Section 31A; thence south and west
along the eastern and southern boundaries of Sections 31A,
31, 18, 17, E. 126, 127, 73, 1, 2, 3, 1, and Te Akau No. 15B
