Hearing of Application for Confirmation in the Chatham Islands.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Stipendiary Magistrate exercising jurisdiction at the Chatham Islands, acting in pursuance of section 89 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, will consider the matter mentioned in the Schedule hereunder, at Waitangi, Chatham Islands, on Tuesday, 29th August, 1916, at 10.30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the business of the Magistrate will permit.

Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Tutaekuri No. 1A Block is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Wairoa on Wednesday, the 16th day of August, 1916, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:

"That the Tutaekuri No. 1A Block be leased to Tamihana Karari, one of the owners, for a term of twenty-one years at an annual rental equivalent to £5 per centum of the Government valuation for the said block, payable half-yearly in advance, such lease to contain the covenants usually inserted in leases of a like nature from the Board."

Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION No. 52.

yearly rental of 5 per cent. on the present Government valuation, with right to compensation for improvements or to a renewal for a further term of twenty-one years at the yearly rental of 5 per cent. on the then unimproved Government valuation of the said land."

Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Ahirau No. 1D Block is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Gisborne on Friday, the 18th day of August, 1916, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:

"That the proposed alienation of the Ahirau No. 1D Block be agreed to—viz., that the land be sold to William Witters, of Kaitaratahi, sheep-farmer, at the present unimproved Government value of the said land."

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Marangairoa 1c 2 Block is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Gisborne on Friday, the 18th day of August, 1916, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:

"That the Marangairoa No. 1c 2 Block be leased for twenty-one years to Arihia Ngakohu, of Horoera, at a rental equal to 5 per centum on the present Government unimproved valuation of the land, with the right of renewal for a further term of twenty-one years at a rental equal to 5 per centum on the then unimproved value of the land, with the right to compensation for improvements in the event of renewal not being taken."

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Te Hei-o-Tahoka, or Sections 6 and 10, Block IV, Waiau Survey District, is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Wairoa on Wednesday, the 16th day of August, 1916, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:

"That a lease of the said land be granted to Kingi Winiata, of Wairoa, farmer, for the term of twenty-one years at the yearly rental of 5 per cent. on the present Government valuation, with the right to compensation for improvements or to a renewal for the further term of twenty-one years at the yearly rental of 5 per cent. on the then unimproved Government valuation of the said land."
