WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.


WORKERS’ DWELLINGS LOAN, £9,500.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waikohu County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £9,500, authorized to be raised by the Waikohu County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for erecting Engineer’s residence, erecting workmen’s cottages, and purchase and fencing of land for same, the said Waikohu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirteen eighty-fourths (13/84ths) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Workers’ Dwellings Loan Special-rating Area, comprising the whole of the County of Waikohu; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is paid off.

In witness whereof the common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waikohu was hereto affixed in the presence of—

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.


RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for constructing, forming, and metalling a road known as Kawi Road Extension, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of a penny and one-fifth of a penny in the pound (1d. and 1/5th of a 1d.) upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Kawi Road Extension Special-rating District, comprising part 2L 1, 2L 2, 2L 3, 2L 4, part 2L 5, 1E 1, 1E 2, 1E 3, 1E 4, 1E 5, 1E 6, 1C, and 1D of Horowhenua 11B, Subdivision 36, Blocks XIII, Mt. Robinson, and I, Waiopelhu S.D.s; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a correct copy of a resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Horowhenua County Council held on the 10th day of June, 1916.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest, and also the other charges on a loan of £950, authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for acquiring land for the Tararua Road Extension, and for forming, metalling, and fencing same, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths of a penny in the pound (5/8ths of 1d.) upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Tararua Road Extension Special-rating District, comprising Sections 5, 6, 7, and 8, Horowhenua 3E No. 2, Blocks I, V, and VI, Waiopelhu S.D.; the following sections in Block VI, Waiopelhu S.D.—viz., Sections 9 and parts 10 and 11, Horowhenua 3E No. 2; Lots 1 to 9, parts C, D, and E, Horowhenua 3D No. 2; Lots 10, 11, and 12, parts E and F, Horowhenua 3D No. 2F; parts 10 and 11, Horowhenua 3E No. 2 and part 3D No. 2G; and part G, Horowhenua 3D No. 2G. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

AT a meeting of the above-mentioned company held on 31st May, 1916, the following extraordinary resolution was passed unanimously:—

“That the company, by reason of its liabilities, cannot continue to carry on its business, and that it go into voluntary liquidation; and that Mr. R. ENGLISH, of Hamilton, Public Accountant, be appointed Liquidator of the company.”

CO-OPERATIVE FILM SERVICE (LIMITED).


WE, the undersigned, being at least three-fourths of the members of the Co-operative Film Service (Limited), and holding at least three-fourths of the shares of the capital of the company, do hereby, in lieu of passing a special resolution, agree to the following resolutions now entered in the company’s minute-book:—

  1. That the Co-operative Film Service (Limited) be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.

  2. That JAMES McINTOSH, Public Accountant, in the City of Wellington, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator of the company for the purpose of such winding-up, at a fee of fifty pounds.

  3. That the said Liquidator be and he is hereby authorized to complete the sale and transfer of the whole of the undertaking, property, and assets of the company to a new company to be formed and called the Co-operative Film Exchange (Limited), upon terms contained in the agreement between the company and Charles Edward Stevens, a copy of which is hereto annexed, with such modifications or additions (not being substantial variations therefrom) as the Liquidator may approve, and for that purpose to execute an agreement adopting the said agreement with such modifications or additions (not being substantial variations therefrom) as the Liquidator may think expedient.
