North Canterbury Acclimatization District defined.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint those parts of the said Dominion described in the Schedule hereto to be a district under and for the purposes of the said Act, and I do hereby declare that such district shall be known as the North Canterbury Acclimatization District.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury and Marlborough Land Districts bounded towards the north-west by Westland, Grey, and Murchison Counties from the north-western corner of Ashburton County to the Marlborough County; towards the north generally by Marlborough and Awatere Counties to the sea at the mouth of the Clarence River; towards the east generally by the sea to the mouth of the Rakaia River; and towards the south-east by Ashburton County to Westland County, the place of commencement.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Trustees for the Dunsandel Public Cemetery appointed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

CHARLES ALEXANDER WRIGHT and
ERNEST GEORGE WRIGHT

to be trustees, in the places of Samuel Sherrard and Peter Lill, who have removed from the district, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Dunsandel Public Cemetery, in conjunction with George William Kime, Norman Brown, and James Burgess, previously appointed.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this tenth day of June, one thousand, nine hundred and sixteen.

Trustees for the Tiriraukawa Public Cemetery appointed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke certain Warrants dated the fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and three, the twenty-second day of October, one thousand nine hundred and three, the sixth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and six, and the ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nine, appointing trustees for the Tiriraukawa Public Cemetery; and do hereby appoint

JEREMIAH CHARLES MCCARTHY,
FRANK JOSEPH HINTZ,
JAMES HENRY GILCHRIST,
FREDERICK MICKELSON, and
SAMUEL PARSONS

to be trustees to provide for the care and management of the Tiriraukawa Public Cemetery described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

TIRIRAUKAWA PUBLIC CEMETERY.

ALL that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 14 acres, more or less, being Section No. 11, Block IV, Tiriraukawa Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west generally by Murray’s Track; towards the north-east generally by Ngauinga Road; and towards the south by Section No. 12. As the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor this tenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Land in the Parish of Ruapekapeka, Auckland Land District, temporarily reserved for a Public Recreation-ground.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a public recreation-ground.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Allotment 62A, Parish of Ruapekapeka, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 32 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east generally by a public road, 962·5 links, 200·3 links, and 201 links; and towards the south-west generally by a public road, 1205·9 links and 13·8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/344A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. (Auckland Plan No. 18822.)

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Declaring Road-lines through Land in the Kowhatu Settlement, Canterbury Land District, to be closed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General from which it appears that the roads described in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused, and that the said roads intersect land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and are not suitable to the subdivision of such land:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of section eighty of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the roads hereinafter described; and I do hereby declare that the said roads shall thereupon become subject to the said Act.
