Prohibiting all Private Alienation of certain Native Land.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of June, 1916.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and section one hundred and eleven of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by those sections, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend the period of an Order in Council made the twenty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, for a further period of six months, prohibiting all alienations of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

PORANGAHAU 1A 3B, Section 1, Block: Approximate area, 437 acres 3 roods; Porangahau Survey District.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienations of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.
SCHEDULE.
TAPATU Block: Approximate area, 7,300 acres; Matakaoa, Whangaparaoa East, and Mangaoporo Survey Districts.
Waitangirua Block: Approximate area, 1,100 acres; Matakaoa, Whangaparaoa East, and Mangaoporo Survey Districts.

Portion of Best’s Road, in the Stoke Road District, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of June, 1916.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of any road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:
And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions with respect to the building-line as the Governor, by Order in Council, thinks fit to impose:
And whereas the Stoke Road Board, being the local authority having control of the road described in the Schedule hereto, has passed the following resolution—viz., “At a meeting of the Stoke Road Board on the fourth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, it was resolved that the existing road is, in the opinion of the Board, of sufficient width for all necessary traffic, and the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act should not apply to this road”:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that road in the Nelson Land District, Stoke Road District, known as Best’s Road, adjoining or passing through Lots 2 and 1 of Sections 191 and 193, Waimea East, Block II, Waimea Survey District. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39995, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.
