That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £65 (being not greater than 10 per cent. of the original loan of £670), authorized to be raised by the said Waimarino County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of felling, clearing, and forming the Field’s Track into a dray-road from its junction with the Tokiahuru Stream southwards to the Ohotu-Karioi Road, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes and levies an additional special rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ohotu No. 4 Special-rating District, comprising all the properties situated within the following boundaries:—

Commencing at a point where the north boundary of Section 8A, Block XIII, Karioi S.D., joins the Ohotu-Karioi Road; thence north-east by the north boundary of the said Section 8A, Block XIII, Karioi S.D., to the west boundary of Section 7, Block XIII, Karioi S.D.; thence north and east by the west and north boundaries of the said Section 7, Block XIII, Karioi S.D., to the west boundary of Section 3, Block XIII, Karioi S.D.; thence north, east, and south by the west, north, and east boundaries of the said Section 3, Block XIII, Karioi S.D., to the north boundary of Section 4, Block XIII, Karioi S.D.; thence east by the north boundary of the said Section 4, Block XIII, Karioi S.D., to the Wangaehu River; thence generally south by the Wangaehu River to the south boundary of Section N.L.C. Subdivision No. 2, Block III, Ngamatea S.D.; thence west by the south boundary of the said Section N.L.C. Subdivision No. 2, Block III, Ngamatea S.D., to the west boundary of the said Section N.L.C. Subdivision No. 2, Block III, Ngamatea S.D.; thence north by the west boundaries of N.L.C. Subdivisions Nos. 1 and 2, Block III, Ngamatea S.D., to the Ohotu-Karioi Road; thence generally east by the said Ohotu-Karioi Road to the starting-point; comprising all the following properties: Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8A, Block XIII, Karioi S.D., Sections N.L.C. Subdivisions Nos. 1 and 2, Block III, Ngamatea S.D.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, in addition to the special rate made and levied over the same special-rating area made on the 19th day of March, 1915, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

THAT, under the authority of and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waimarino County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £420, authorized to be raised by the Waimarino County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling the Mangahouhou Road from its junction with the Rangataua Road westwards, a distance of about 65 chains, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourpence (4d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mangahouhou Special-rating District, comprising all the properties situated within the following boundaries:—

Commencing at a point where the north-east boundary of Section 21, Block VIII, Makotuku S.D., joins the Rangataua Road; thence north-west by the said north-east boundary of the said Section 21, Block VIII, Makotuku S.D., to the north boundary of the said Section 21, Block VIII, Makotuku S.D.; thence generally south by the said north boundary of the said Section 21, Block VIII, Makotuku S.D., and the north-west boundary of Section 20, Block VIII, Makotuku S.D., to the south boundary of the said Section 20, Block VIII, Makotuku S.D.; thence generally east by the south boundaries of Sections 20 and 19, Block VIII, Makotuku S.D., to the north-west boundary of Section B, Otiranui Block, Block XII, Makotuku S.D.; thence south-west, south-east, and north-east by the north-west, south-west, south-east, and north-east boundaries of the said Section B, Otiranui Block, Block XII, Makotuku S.D., to the north-west boundary of the said Section B, Otiranui Block, Block XII, Makotuku S.D.; thence by a left line to a point 464·6 links from the junction of the Rangataua and Mangahouhou Roads; thence generally north by the Rangataua Road to the starting-point; comprising all the following properties: Sections pt. 19, 20, 21, Block VIII, Makotuku S.D., and Section B, Otiranui Block, Block XII, Makotuku S.D.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring special rate, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

EXTRACT FROM THE MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS AT A MEETING HELD ON THE 27TH DAY OF MARCH, 1916, AT 4.30 P.M.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and twenty-five pounds (£125), authorized to be raised by the Waitomo County Council, under section 18 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of completing the widening, culverting, and metalling of the Mangarino Road (being 10 per cent. additional of the Mangarino Roading Loan of £1,250, 1913, authorized to be raised by consent of the ratepayers under section 15 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, such latter amount being insufficient to complete the works for which such loan was raised), the said Council makes and levies a special rate of ⅓ of a penny in the pound sterling on the capital value of all rateable property within the Mangarapa Special-rating District, such special-rating district comprising the following lands: Te Kuiti No. 2B Section 14B, Block XVI, Orahiri Survey District, and Block XIII, Mangarongo Survey District; Sections 1, 2, and 12, Block XVI, Orahiri Survey District; Pukeroa-Hangatiki 4c 1, and half of section Pukeroa-Hangatiki 4c 3A, of Blocks XVI and XII, Orahiri Survey District; Pukeroa-Hangatiki 4c No. 3c and 4d No. 2, Sections 1, 2, and 3, half of Mangarapa No. 4 2B, and a Crown section not numbered, all of Block XII, Orahiri Survey District. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six (36) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WOODLANDS DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Woodlands Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Woodlands Drainage Board under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for widening and deepening the main drains within that portion of the Woodlands Drainage District known as the Woodlands Special-rating Area, being all that area in the County of Waikato and Woodlands Drainage District shown on the plan of the County of Waikato as Lots 4 and 5 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry of Auckland as number 6454, and Lots 2 to 18 inclusive on a plan lodged as aforesaid as number 5548, being a portion of Blocks III, IV, VII, VIII, and XII, Komakorau Survey District, the said Woodlands Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the above-mentioned Woodlands Special-rating Area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
