SUMNER BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, the Sumner Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £1,818, authorized to be raised by the Sumner Borough Council, under the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1915, for the purchase of the therein-stated foreshore properties, the said Sumner Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four thirty-fifths of a penny (4/35d.) in the £1 upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Sumner, comprising the whole of the Borough of Sumner; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan. The first payment of such rate shall be made on the 5th day of June, 1916, and the second and all subsequent payments shall be made upon the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Sumner Borough Council held on Tuesday, the 30th day of May, 1916.

NOTICE is hereby given that at the annual general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at the registered office of the company near the Whakatane Bridge, Whakatane, on Wednesday, the 26th day of April, 1916, the subjoined special resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said company duly convened and held at the same place on the 20th day of May, 1916, the subjoined resolution was duly confirmed:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily; and that FRANK CYRIL YEOMAN, of Taneatua, Farmer, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

FARMERS’ UNION TRADING ASSOCIATION (AUCKLAND), LIMITED.

RESOLUTION.

“1. THAT it is desirable to wind up the association, and accordingly that the said association be wound up voluntarily; and that ROBERT ABERCROMBIE BROWN, of the City of Auckland, Accountant, be appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.
“2. That the said Liquidator be authorized to consent to the registration and formation of a new company, to be called ‘The Farmers’ Union Trading Company (Auckland), Limited,’ or any like name, with a Memorandum and Articles of Association to be prepared with the privacy and subject to the approval of the Directors of the association.
“3. That the draft agreement submitted to the meetings hereby summoned and expressed to be made between the said association and its Liquidator, of the one part, and Logan Smith Donald, of Auckland, Company Manager, as trustee for and on behalf of the new company, of the other part, be approved; and that the said Liquidator be authorized, pursuant to section 259 of the Companies Act, 1908, to enter into an agreement with such new company when incorporated in the terms of the said draft, and to carry the same into effect, with such modifications as shall be deemed expedient.”
We certify that the above is a true and exact copy of a special resolution passed by a general meeting of the above association at the Oddfellows Hall, Cook Street, Auckland, on Tuesday, the 9th day of May, 1916, and confirmed by a general meeting of the association held at the place aforesaid on Wednesday, the 24th day of May, 1916.

THE Partnership heretofore carried on by GEORGE ARIEL GRAHAM and WILLIAM ERNEST KREBS at Gisborne, as Coachbuilders and Wheelwrights, under the joint name of “Graham and Krebs,” is hereby dissolved by mutual consent. The business will be carried on by the said WILLIAM ERNEST KREBS, who takes over all liabilities of the late firm.
