Amended By-laws of Rotorua Fire Board.

THE following amendment of by-laws made by the Rotorua Fire Board is published in accordance with the Fire Brigades Act, 1908.

BY-LAWS AMENDED.—ROTORUA FIRE BOARD.
THAT clause 3 of Part 2 of the by-laws of the Rotorua Fire Board be amended by the deletion of the word “forty” in the last line, and the substitution therefor of the word “fifty.”
The foregoing amendment was made by the Rotorua Fire Board on the 29th day of March, 1916, and sealed on the 19th day of May, 1916.

Notice under the War Regulations declaring certain Persons, Firms, and Companies to be Enemies.
I, ALEXANDER LAWRENCE HERDMAN, His Majesty’s Attorney-General for the Dominion of New Zealand, being satisfied that the companies, firms, and persons mentioned in the Schedule hereto are carrying on business to a substantial extent for the benefit of alien enemies resident out of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance of clause 20 of the War Regulations made on the 3rd day of April, 1916, under the War Regulations Act, 1914, declare each of the companies, firms, or persons so mentioned in the Schedule hereto to be an enemy.

Notice under the War Regulations declaring a Company to be an Enemy, and Warrant appointing the Public Trustee as the Controller of the Business of that Company.
I, ALEXANDER LAWRENCE HERDMAN, His Majesty’s Attorney-General for the Dominion of New Zealand, being satisfied that the company named in the Schedule hereto, and incorporated and carrying on business in New Zealand, is one in and over which alien enemies, not being natural-born British subjects, possess a substantial interest and control, do hereby, in pursuance of clause 10 of the regulations of the 2nd day of May, 1916, under the War Regulations Act, 1914, declare that company to be an enemy; and I do hereby, in pursuance of the regulations made under that Act on the 11th day of May, 1916, appoint the Public Trustee as the Controller of the business of that company.

Importation into Samoa of Plants, Fruit, Potatoes, or Vegetables from New Zealand.—Notice No. 1834.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the Administrator of the British militarily occupied territory of Western Samoa has by Proclamation ordered that all plants, fruit, potatoes, or vegetables imported or brought into the Islands of Western Samoa must be accompanied by a certificate issued by a Fruit Inspector of the Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce at the port from which such plants, fruit, potatoes, or vegetables are shipped.

I, WILLIAM FAIRCHILD MARSH, Returning Officer for the election of a member to the Hawke’s Bay Land Board, do hereby notify, in accordance with section 41 of the Land Act, 1908, and the regulations thereunder, the result of the poll taken by me on the 31st day of May, 1916, for the election of a member of the Hawke’s Bay Land Board, to be as follows:—
