THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Council of the County of Tauranga, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Pursuant to the provisions of section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1915, I hereby notify that the following is the result of the poll of ratepayers of the Katikati Riding of the County of Tauranga taken on the 20th day of May, 1916, on the proposal to borrow a sum of £600 for the purpose of grading and metalling main roads in the Katikati Riding of the County of Tauranga: Number of valid votes recorded, 39; against the proposal, 1; for the proposal, 38.

The number of valid votes recorded in favour of the proposal being more than three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded, I hereby declare the proposal to be carried.
