WINDING-UP NOTICE.
At an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of Trent Bros. (Limited) held at the office of the company, Durham St., Christchurch, the following resolution was passed unanimously :-
“ That it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same.”

MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL.
COPY OF A RESOLUTION PASSED AT A FULL MEETING HELD ON 14TH APRIL, 1916.
Whereas by section 3 of the Hutt Road Act, 1915, it is provided that towards the cost of forming and constructing the Hutt Road there shall be payable by each of the local authorities mentioned in the First Schedule thereto the sum set opposite the name of the local authority in the said Schedule: And whereas the Makara County Council is one of the local authorities mentioned: And whereas the same Act authorizes the issue by each of the local authorities of debentures for the amount payable by it as aforesaid: And whereas it is further provided that, for the purpose of paying the interest and sinking fund in respect of debentures so issued, the local authority shall make and levy a special rate on all rateable property within its district:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hutt Road Act, 1915, the Counties Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, and all other Acts and powers (if any) enabling it in that behalf, the Makara County Council hereby resolves—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,200, authorized to be raised under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing its share of the cost of construction of the Hutt Road, as set out in the First Schedule of the Hutt Road Act, 1915, the said Makara County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/32 of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property on the basis of capital value throughout the County of Makara; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Makara County Council held in the County Chambers, Ballance Street, Wellington, the fourteenth day of April, 1916.
The common seal of the Makara County Council was hereto affixed the 14th day of April, 1916.

ONSLOW BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Whereas by section 3 of the Hutt Road Act, 1915, it is provided that towards the cost of forming and constructing the Hutt Road there shall be payable by each of the local authorities mentioned in the First Schedule thereto the sum set opposite the name of the local authority in the said Schedule: And whereas the Onslow Borough Council is one of the local authorities as mentioned: And whereas the same Act authorizes the issue by each of the local authorities of debentures for the amount payable by it as aforesaid: And whereas it is further provided that, for the purpose of paying the interest and sinking fund in respect of debentures so issued, the local authority shall make and levy a special rate on all rateable property within its district:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hutt Road Act, 1915, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, and all other Acts and powers (if any) enabling it in that behalf, the Onslow Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand six hundred pounds (£3,600), authorized to be raised by the Onslow Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing its share of the cost of the construction of the Hutt Road as set out in the First Schedule to the Hutt Road Act, 1915, the said Onslow Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 13/64d. upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the district, comprising the whole of the Borough of Onslow; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the last days of September and March in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Passed at Wellington at a duly constituted meeting of the Onslow Borough Council held in Wellington on Thursday, the fourth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
In witness thereof the common seal of the Onslow Borough Council is hereunto affixed pursuant to resolution of the Council this 15th day of May, 1916.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Whereas by section 3 of the Hutt Road Act, 1915, it is provided that towards the cost of forming and constructing the Hutt Road there shall be payable by each of the local authorities mentioned in the First Schedule thereto the sum set opposite the name of the local authority in the said Schedule: And whereas the Johnsonville Town Board is one of the local authorities as mentioned: And whereas the same Act authorizes the issue by each of the local authorities of two debentures for the amount payable by it as aforesaid: And whereas it is further provided that, for the purpose of paying the interest and sinking fund in respect of debentures so issued, the local authority shall make and levy a special rate on all rateable property within its district:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hutt Road Act, 1915, the Town Boards Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, and all other Acts and powers (if any) enabling it in that behalf, the Johnsonville Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand two hundred pounds (£1,200), authorized to be raised by the Johnsonville Town Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing its share of the cost of the construction of the Hutt Road as set out in the First Schedule to the Hutt Road Act, 1915, the said Johnsonville Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 11/64ths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the district, comprising the whole of the Town District of Johnsonville; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the last days of September and March in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Passed at Johnsonville at a duly constituted meeting of the Johnsonville Town Board held in Johnsonville on Tuesday, the 9th day of May, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
