- The quota of additional marks for which provision is made by Regulation 6 shall for the respective groups be as follows:—
For Group “A” a quota of 10 marks.
“B” 20
“C” 30
“D” 40
“E” 50
“F” 60
Provided that in the case of any teacher who receives less than 40 per cent. of the marks assignable to him apart from the quota, the marks of the corresponding quota shall be reduced by 20 per cent.

From the grading-lists forwarded to the Director of Education shall be compiled annually a general graded list of teachers, which shall be duly published in accordance with the Act before the 30th day of June. Every such general list shall contain—
(a.) The names of all teachers graded as herein provided, arranged in order, and consecutively numbered in accordance with the totals of the grading-marks assigned.
(b.) The name in each case of the district, if any, in respect of service in which the teacher was graded, the nature of the position occupied, and such other information as the Director may determine. -
No marks either in general or in detail on which the grading has been based shall in any case be contained in the list aforesaid. All such marks shall be regarded as strictly confidential, and shall not be disclosed by any officer concerned except in pursuance of his official duties as prescribed by these regulations.

Any teacher who considers that he has a good ground of objection to the position assigned to him on the graded list may, not later than the 31st day of July next following the publication of the list in the New Zealand Gazette, lodge an appeal by letter directed to the Director of Education, Wellington, giving the grounds on which the appeal is based, and every such appeal shall be dealt with as the Director may determine.

For the purpose of the grading of teachers for the present year, Regulation 1 hereof shall be read as if the words “May, nineteen hundred and sixteen,” were substituted for the words “March following”; and Regulation 2 shall be read as if the word “May” was substituted for the word “March.”

Extension of Special Shooting Season for Imported and Native Game, Bay of Islands Acclimatization District.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS by a Warrant, dated the twentieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen (hereinafter referred to as “the said Warrant”), and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twentieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen:
And whereas by the said Warrant it was notified that certain imported and native game might be killed within the said Bay of Islands Acclimatization District from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, to the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to extend the period during which the said Bay of Islands Acclimatization District shall be exempted from the operation of the said section twenty-six of the Animals Protection Act, 1908:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the imported and native game mentioned in the said Warrant may be killed within the Bay of Islands Acclimatization District for the period named in the said Warrant and for the further period ending on the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, on the conditions named in the said Warrant.
And I do further notify that licenses issued to kill imported game in the said district shall be in full force and effect until the said thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Opening Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale or Selection.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Wednesday, the twenty-eighth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.
