RESOLUTION.
THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Stratford Racing Club at a meeting held on the 17th day of November, 1915, at Stratford, with a recommendation by the Chairman of the Club, Mr. W. H. H. Young, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by the Governor, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. W. J. Morrison, the Vice-chairman of the Club and the chairman of the meeting, moved, and Mr. W. P. Kirkwood seconded, and it was resolved, That such regulations should be adopted, and that the Chairman be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.
The following are the regulations referred to:—
STRATFORD RACING CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Stratford Racing Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the club’s property situate in the District of Taranaki, and known as the Stratford Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely:—
(a.) Bookmakers.
(b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the Racing Conference of New Zealand.
(c.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
The foregoing regulations of the Stratford Racing Club were made and passed by the club on the 17th day of November, 1915, and signed by the Acting-Chairman and Secretary.

MANUNUI TOWN DISTRICT.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Manunui Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Manunui Town Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of providing water-supply, reticulation, and appliances in connection therewith, the said Manunui Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one shilling and threepence in the pound (annual value) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Manunui Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of March and September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—GISBORNE BOROUGH SEWERAGE AND WATERWORKS LOAN, 1915, £50,000.
AT a duly convened meeting of the Gisborne Borough Council held on the 18th day of January, 1916, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Gisborne Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50,000, authorized to be raised by the Gisborne Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, and called the Gisborne Borough Sewerage and Waterworks Loan, 1915, £50,000, for—
(a.) Sewering the west end of the borough, and completing unfinished portions of Kaiti, Whataupoko, and borough, and also for adjustments to the present system;
(b.) Extension of the waterworks at Te Arai, and establishment of a reservoir near town, and extension of the reticulation—
the said Gisborne Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Gisborne; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Gisborne was hereto affixed by order of the Gisborne Borough Council on the 19th day of January, 1916, in the presence of—

BOROUGH OF RICCARTON.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Riccarton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorized to be raised by consent of the ratepayers in Dudley Street, Riccarton, dated the 23rd day of December, 1913, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing land and formation of street to continue Dudley Street to connect with Whiteleigh Avenue, the Riccarton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four and two-fifths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in Dudley Street, Riccarton; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 23rd day of June and the 23rd day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
