And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Piopio, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

0·2 perch, portion of Section 9, Block XII, Otanake Survey District. Coloured blue on plan.
In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39877, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned. (S.O. 18521.)

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block IX, Awakino East Survey District, for Road Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Block IX, Awakino East Survey District; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Mahoenui, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a Native school in Block XI, Waipakura Survey District; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Makirikiri, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Golden Downs, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Notice to Mariners No. 31 of 1916.
AUCKLAND HARBOUR.—AMENDED POSITION OF KOHIMARAMA WHARF.
Marine Department,
Wellington, N.Z., 2nd May, 1916.
THE Auckland Harbour Board have notified that Kohimarama Wharf and light is incorrectly charted on the latest Admiralty Chart (No. 1970) of Auckland Harbour, and that the correct position is determined by the following bearings from light on end of Kohimarama Wharf:—
St. Heliers Wharf light bears 96° 7′ (N. 80° 37′ E. magnetic).
Orakei Wharf light bears 274° (S. 78° 30′ W. magnetic).
Mount Victoria Trig. Station bears 302° 11′ (N. 73° 19′ W. magnetic).
Bean Rock Lighthouse bears 342° 16′ (N. 33° 14′ W. magnetic).
The direction of the wharf from the light on the end is 140° (S. 24½° E. magnetic).
Charts, &c., affected: Admiralty Charts Nos. 1970 and 1896; “New Zealand Pilot,” eighth edition, 1908, Chapter ii, page 38.
