HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the undermentioned grants of temporary rank, appointments, and promotions of officers employed with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force (Europe):

NEW ZEALAND MOUNTED RIFLE BRIGADE.

Auckland Mounted Rifle Regiment.

Major James Neil McCarroll is appointed 2nd in command, vice Major Frank Chapman (died of wounds). Dated 9th August, 1915.

Captain William Cameron Morrison, New Zealand Staff Corps, to be Major, vice Major James Neil McCarroll (appointed second in command). Dated 9th August, 1915, and is appointed Adjutant, vice Captain Ferdinand August Wood (wounded), who vacates the appointment. Dated 12th August, 1915.

Captain Ferdinand August Wood to be Major, vice Major William Cameron Morrison (appointed Adjutant). Dated 12th August, 1915.

Captain Ralph Wyman to be Major, vice Major Charles Reginald Ernest Mackesy (invalided). Dated 15th September, 1915.

The notice published in New Zealand Gazette No. 143, dated 16th December, 1915, relative to the promotion of Captain George Augustus King, New Zealand Staff Corps, from Staff Captain, Otago Mounted Rifle Brigade, to the rank of Major, and his appointment as 2nd in command, vice Major Frank Chapman (died of wounds), is cancelled.

Captain George Augustus King, New Zealand Staff Corps, resumes the duties of Staff Captain, New Zealand Mounted Rifle Brigade.

The notice published in New Zealand Gazette No. 143, dated 16th December, 1915, relative to the appointment of Captain Hubert Cecil Glendining, New Zealand Staff Corps, as Staff Captain is cancelled.

Captain Hubert Cecil Glendining, New Zealand Staff Corps, resumes the duties of Adjutant, Otago Mounted Rifle Regiment.
