NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the office of Sievwright, James, & Nichol, Solicitors, 152 High Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidators thereof shall be disposed of.

MOUNT ALBERT BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE, DULY PASSED AT A MEETING HELD 11TH APRIL, 1916.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of £5,700, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under section 69, subsection (b), of the Public Health Act, 1908, and under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of the completion of the drainage-works at Morningside, Mountain View, and Gladstone Roads, as set out and described in the recommendation of the said the District Health Officer dated the 17th day of February, 1915, the said Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Albert; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Mount Albert Borough Council at the meeting above mentioned.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

TAKE notice that the Partnership hitherto carried on by the undersigned as Bricklayers, under the style of “Ebbett & Co.,” has been dissolved as from the 17th instant. All debts due to the late firm are to be paid to the undersigned, Mrs. EBBETT, whose receipt will be a sufficient discharge, and to whom also all accounts against the late firm are to be rendered. Debts not paid or arranged for before the 15th May next will be sued for without further notice.
