as number 5548, being a portion of Blocks III, IV, VII, VII,
and XII, Komakorau Survey District, the said Woodlands
Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of
three-farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all
rateable property in the above-mentioned Woodlands Special-
rating Area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be pay-
able half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day
of August in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a correct copy of a
resolution made by the Woodlands Drainage Board at an
ordinary meeting held on the 13th day of April, 1916.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately
subsisting between us, the undersigned, DAVID CAIRNS
and CONSTANTINE ALEXANDER DOCOOKIN, both of South-
bridge, Sawmillers, and JAMES AINGER, of Christchurch,
Accountant, under the style or firm of the “Southbridge
Timber Company,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as
from this date. The business will hereafter be carried on by
the said JAMES AINGER on his own account under the same
style, and he will receive all debts due to and discharge all
liabilities due by the late firm.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the
shareholders of the above company will be held at
the offices of Messrs. J. Nathan & Coy. (Ltd.), Featherston
Street, Wellington, on Tuesday, the 16th May, 1916, at
12 noon, for the purpose of laying before members an account
showing the manner in which the winding-up has been con-
ducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of
hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liqui-
dators, and also determining by extraordinary resolution the
manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the
company shall be disposed of.

AND COMPANY (LIMITED), General Merchants, Wellington.
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-men-
tioned company duly convened and held at the com-
pany’s business premises, corner of Quin and Dixon Streets,
in the City of Wellington, on the 14th day of March, 1916,
the following special resolution was duly passed, and at a
subsequent general meeting of the said company also duly
convened and held at the same place on the 7th day of April,
1916, the following special resolution was duly confirmed,
viz. :—
That the company go into voluntary liquidation; and that
for the purpose of liquidation GEORGE WILLIAM MINTER be
and he is hereby appointed Liquidator, and that BENJAMIN
HENRY PRICE be and he is hereby appointed Supervisor.

AT a special meeting for the purpose of considering the
advisability of voluntarily winding up the affairs of the
above society the following resolution was carried unani-
mously :—
That the company go into voluntary liquidation; and
that JOHN VALENTINE SHOESMITH, ATKINSON TIPLADY, and
PRESTON A. WEBBER be appointed Liquidators.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named
company duly convened and held on the 28th day of
March, 1916, the following special resolution was duly passed;
and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the
members of the said company also duly convened and held
at the same place on the 11th April, 1916, the following
resolution was duly confirmed, viz. :—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the
provisions of the Companies Act, 1908; and that the Secre-
tary of the company be hereby appointed Liquidator for the
purposes of such winding-up.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto
existing between JOHN DAVID HOWELL and HERBERT
ALLEN HOWELL, carrying on business at Otaki as Butchers,
under the style of “Howell & Co.,” has been dissolved as
from the 25th day of November, 1915, by mutual consent.

SPREYDON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it on
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
amendments thereto, the Spreydon Borough Council hereby
resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of six thousand pounds
(£6,000), authorized to be raised by the Spreydon Borough
Council, on debenture or otherwise, under the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of supplying electricity to the inhabit-
ants of the whole of the Borough of Spreydon, street lighting,
and any other purpose whatever, the said Spreydon Borough
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7/16ths of
a penny in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value
of all rateable properties in the whole of the Borough of
Spreydon as shown in the Schedule below.
SCHEDULE.
The whole of the Borough of Spreydon, commencing at a
point being the intersection of the Lincoln Road with the
River Heathcote, thence north-easterly by Lincoln Road to
Jerrold Street, thence south-easterly and easterly by Jerrold
Street and South Crescent Road to Strickland Street, thence
south-easterly by Strickland Street to its junction with
Colombo Street, thence southerly by Colombo Street to the
River Heathcote, thence south-westerly and north-westerly
by the River Heathcote to the starting-point.
And the said special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable
yearly on the 14th day of October in each and every year
during the term of the said loan, which shall be 32 years, or
until the loan is paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted at a meeting of the Spreydon Borough Council held
the 15th day of March, 1916, and confirmed at a meeting
held the 5th day of April, 1916.
