Notice respecting Proposed Town District, Otorohanga, County of Waitomo.

Wellington, 19th April, 1916.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be constituted a town district under the said Act, by name the Town District of Otorohanga. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the constitution of the said town district which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF PROPOSED TOWN DISTRICT OF OTOROHANGA.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the eastern side of the creek which forms the western side of the northern extension of Haerehuka Street, in Otorohanga Township, in line with the south-eastern boundary of Otorohanga E No. 2 Block; thence across the street and along the south-eastern boundary of that block to and across Kakamutu Road along the eastern side of that road and the south-western boundary of Otorohanga C Block to the Main Trunk Railway Reserve, along the north-western boundary of that reserve to Kanawa Street, along the north-eastern side of that street to and along the south-eastern side of the railway reserve to the right bank of the Waipa River at the northernmost corner of Reserve 452; thence along the right bank of the Waipa River to the railway reserve near the railway-bridge, along the south-eastern side of the said railway reserve to Kanawa Street, along the south-western side of that street to and along the north-western side of the railway reserve to the right bank of the Waipa River, again along the right bank of that river to the creek forming the northern side of Waipa Esplanade and part of the western side of Haerehuka Street; and thence along the southern and eastern side of that creek to place of commencement.

Redefining Boundaries of Borough of Pukekohe and of the County of Franklin.

Wellington, 19th April, 1916.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of the Borough of Pukekohe are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by an Order in Council dated the 10th day of January, 1916, made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, as amended by the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, and published in Gazette No. 2, of the 13th day of January, 1916.

And also, in pursuance of the said section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of the County of Franklin affected by the alteration made by the said Order in Council dated the 10th day of January, 1916, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF PUKEKOHE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the south-eastern corner of Allotment 297 of Suburban Section 2, Parish of Pukekohe; thence along a right line to the south-western corner of Allotment 3, Parish of Pukekohe, along the southern boundary of that allotment, 1000 links; thence along a line parallel to and 1000 links distant from the south-western boundaries of Allotments 13 and 14 of the said parish, and that line continued to the southern side of a road running easterly through Allotment 12 (road to Bombay Settlement); thence along a right line to the northernmost corner of Allotment 24, Parish of Pukekohe, along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of that allotment and part of the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 80 to the north-eastern corner of Lot 2, subdivision of Allotment 80, as shown on plan 8466, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; along the northern boundary of the said Lot 2 to and across a public road, along the western side of that road to the north-eastern corner of Lot 3 on plan 8552 deposited as aforesaid, along the north-western boundary of that lot to the road forming the south-western boundary of Allotment 46, along the north-eastern side of that road to a point in line with a line parallel to and distant 10 chains south from the northern boundaries of Allotments 47 and 49, Parish of Pukekohe; thence to and along that line and its production to the western side of Allotment 265 of Suburban Section 2, along the western boundary of that allotment and that boundary produced to Allotment 284 of Section 2 aforesaid, along the northern boundary of that allotment, across a public road, and along the south-western boundaries of Lots 10, 6, and 7 of the Winchmore Estate, across a public road, along the north-western side of that road and the south-western side of the road forming the south-western boundary of Allotment 269 of Section 2 aforesaid to a point opposite the westernmost corner of that allotment, across the road, along the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of Allotment 264, part of the southern boundary of 244, and the southern and western boundaries of 245 to the junction of roads at its north-western corner, across a road, and along the northern side of the road forming the south-western boundary of Allotment 61, Section 2 aforesaid, to Allotment 65; along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of that allotment, the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 66 and across a road, along the north-western side of that road to the easternmost corner of Allotment 68, along the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 68 and 69, across a road and along its north-western side to the easternmost corner of Allotment 76, along the north-eastern boundary of that allotment, across a road and along its north-western side to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 93, along the north-eastern boundary of that allotment, across a road, and along the north-eastern side of the road forming the south-western boundaries of Allotments 96, 95, 94, and 109, and across a road, along the north-western side of the road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Allotment 78, Pukekohe Parish, and Allotments 289, 288, 236, and 136, Section 2 aforesaid, to a point distant 606 links from the south-western corner of the said Allotment 136; thence along a right line parallel to the western boundaries of Allotments 136, 137, and 138 to Allotment 139, along the southern boundary of that allotment and of Allotment 132, across a road to the south-western corner of Allotment 126, along the southern and eastern boundaries of that allotment, across a road, along the eastern boundary of Allotment 124, the southern boundary of Allotment 121, across a road, along the southern boundaries of Allotments 116 and 115, across a road to the south-western corner of Allotment 297, and along the southern boundary of that allotment to its south-eastern corner, the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF FRANKLIN.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by Manukau Harbour from the South Head of that harbour to the Pahurehure River; thence by that river to the south-western corner of Papakura Town District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 69, of the 17th August, 1882; thence by the said town district to the north-eastern corner of Allotment No. 16, Kerikeri Settlement; thence across a road, and by Allotments 28, 29, 30, 228, 33, 34, and 171, Hunua Parish, to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment; thence by that road to Allotment 170; thence by that allotment to the road reserve on its north-eastern boundary; thence by a line through the said reserve to the middle of the road forming the southern boundary of Allotment 172; thence by a line along the middle of that road and the road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments 172, 173, and 174, Hunua Parish, to a point opposite the westernmost corner of Allotment 113; thence by a right line to and by the said Allotment 113 to the Wairoa River; thence by that river to a point opposite the southern boundary of Allotment 86, Otan Parish; thence across the Wairoa River, by Allotments 86 and 85 to the southern boundary of Allotment 88; thence by the southern boundary of the said Allotment 88 to the road forming its eastern boundary; thence by the western side of this road to a point opposite the westernmost corner of Allotment 96, by a line across the said road to Allotment 96, by the southern boundary of Allotment 96 and the northern side of the road forming its south-eastern boundary and the southern boundary of Allotment 95, and by Allotment 94 to Wharekawa No. 4 Block; thence by part of the western and by the southern boundary of the said Wharekawa No. 4 Block, and by Puwhenua Stream to the sea; thence towards the east by the sea to the Pukorokoro Creek; thence towards the south generally by a right line across the said creek to the northernmost
