BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Blenheim Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £750, authorized to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act and the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, for the purpose of providing the Council’s supplementary contribution for the erection of a new hospital, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-thirtieth of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of May and November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the thirtieth day of March, 1916.

HUNGAHUNGA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hungahunga Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also other charges on a loan of £4,500, authorized to be raised by the Hungahunga Drainage Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of constructing new drainage-works—viz., to cleanse, widen, and deepen existing watercourses, drains, and outfalls, and to make and construct new watercourses, drains, and outfalls—the said Hungahunga Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of eightpence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property classified “A” as set out in the classification schedule hereunder; sevenpence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property classified “B” as set out in the schedule hereunder, and sixpence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property classified “C” as set out in the schedule hereunder; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

BOROUGH OF THAMES.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE FOR REPAYMENT OF A LOAN.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Thames Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purposes of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of five thousand five hundred pounds (£5,500), authorized to be raised by the Thames Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for electric-lighting works, repayments, and extensions, the said Thames Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirteen farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Thames, comprising the whole of the said borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Thames Borough Council held on the 30th day of March, 1916.

AWATERE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN, £1,300.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Awatere County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of £1,300 authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, and under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of paying the balance due by the Awatere County Council on a levy made by the Wairau Hospital and Charitable Aid Board on the 13th October, 1915, for the purpose of completing the erection of the new hospital, the said Awatere County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/57 of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Awatere County; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a regularly constituted meeting of the Awatere County Council held on the 7th day of March, 1916, and confirmed at a meeting held on the 7th day of April, 1916.
