NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership between us, in the business of Billiard-saloon and Hairdressing-saloon Keepers carried on in Guest’s Buildings, Clyde Street, Balclutha, under the style of “Braithwaite & White,” has been dissolved as from the 1st inst.

NISBET (LIMITED).

THE following resolution is published in pursuance of the provisions of section 223 of the Companies Act, 1908:—
Pursuant to the provisions of section 168 (6) of the Companies Act, 1908, it is hereby minuted that it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same; and that accordingly steps be taken to wind up the company voluntarily, and to appoint Mr. GEORGE HENRY ANDREWS, of Timaru, Company Manager, and Mr. RALF HATCLIFFE PRIEST, of Timaru, Ironmonger, Liquidators for the purposes of such winding-up.

BRUCE COUNTY COUNCIL.

COPY OF RESOLUTION DULY PASSED AT THE ORDINARY MEETING HELD ON THE 4TH DAY OF APRIL, 1916.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Bruce County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £125, authorized to be raised by the Bruce County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the formation and metalling of Blackie’s Road, the said Bruce County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable property of the special-rating area hereinafter described; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first day of September in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the said loan is fully paid off.

SPECIAL-RATING AREA.

The whole of Sections Four (4), Five (5), and Six (6), Block Five (V), North Molyneux District, and the whole of Lot Seven (7) on the plan of the Crescent Estate.

BOROUGH OF MOSGIEL.

PROPOSAL THAT THE RATING SYSTEM ON THE UNIMPROVED VALUE BE RESCINDED.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Rating Act, 1908, and its amendments, I hereby give public notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Mosgiel taken on the 28th day of March, 1916, on the proposal that the adoption of the system of rating property on the basis of the unimproved value thereof be rescinded in the Borough of Mosgiel, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 115, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 240.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, CHARLES TUCKER DAMPNEY, of Eskdale, and DONALD McKINNON, of Napier, in the business of Sheep-farmers and Graziers, as carried on by them on Glengarry Run, near Pohui, under the style or firm of “Dampney & McKinnon,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st day of March last.
All moneys owing to the said firm will be received, and all debts owing by the said firm will be paid, by the said DONALD McKINNON.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £700, authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for constructing, forming, and metalling Arawhata Road, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and three-eighths pence (1¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Arawhata Road Special-rating Area, comprising D 1, D 2, G 1, G 2, G 3, G 5, of Horowhenua 11, part Lot 41B, Block II, Waitohu Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a correct copy of a resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Horowhenua County Council held on the eighth day of April, 1916.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Blenheim Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act (being the balance of purchase-money and charges in respect of the purchase of that part of Section 51, District of Omaka, known as Waterlea Park), the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-thirtieth of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of May and November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the sixth day of April, 1916.
