Regulations regarding the Keeping of Accounts by Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this thirty-first day of March, 1916.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the regulations regarding the keeping of accounts by Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards, made on the eighth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighteenth day of March then instant, by revoking regulation number five and substituting the following regulation in lieu thereof.

REGULATION.

“No payments shall be made except such as are covered by a cheque specially drawn for the purpose or purposes stated to the Board, and duly passed by it.”

Declaring Road-lines through Land in the Parahi Settlement, Auckland Land District, to be closed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General from which it appears that the roads described in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused, and that the said roads intersect land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and are not suitable to the subdivision of such land:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of section eighty of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the roads hereinafter described; and I do hereby declare that the said roads shall thereupon become subject to the said Act.

Land temporarily reserved in Tutamoe Survey District, Auckland Land District, for Water-supply Purposes.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for water-supply purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 201 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being Section 12, Block X, Tutamoe Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section 8, Block X, Tutamoe Survey District, 6308·1 links; towards the east by Section 7 of the aforesaid Block, 3190·1 links; towards the south by Sections 5 and 1, Block XIV, Tutamoe Survey District aforesaid, 4300·1 and 1997·6 links respectively; and towards the west by Section 9, Block IX, Tutamoe Survey District aforesaid, 3200 links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 374A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland plan 18664.)

Opening Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Monday, the twenty-second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and amendments.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Thames County.—Whitianga Survey District.

Sections 1, 2, 3, and 5, Block XIV: Area, 1,049 acres 1 rood. Approximate annual rental per acre, 7½d. Capital value, £660. Occupation with right of purchase: Half-yearly rent, £16 10s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £13 4s.

Weighted with £570, valuation for improvements comprising nine-roomed house, barn, dairy, cow-shed, harness-room, 16½ acres ploughed and grassed, 13 acres cleared and grassed, 310 chains of fencing, bridge and road filling, pine plantation, garden and orchard.

Altitude, 50 ft. to 600 ft. above sea-level. About 200 acres barren hills, 120 acres wet rush swamp; remainder of section level, a considerable area being pure sand, balance covered with fern, short manuka, and scrub. Soil on dry portion a light loam on slate formation; well watered by Tairua River and swampy springs. Situated on the eastern side of Tairua River, distant two miles by water from Lower Tairua Wharf (across river).

Raglan County.—Pirongia Parish.

Sections 167, 168, 168A, and 172: Area, 161 acres 3 roods. Approximate annual rental per acre, 1s. Capital value, £160.
