appliances, apparatus, and things necessary or convenient
for or incidental to such purposes; and for the extension
and enlargement of and erection and construction of
such extension and enlargement of the tramway buildings
in the said borough: £23,600

  1. The providing or supplying of water for the use of
    or purposes of the said tramways in the borough by means
    of artesian wells or an artesian well, and the sinking of
    such wells or well, and the providing or supplying of all
    bores, machinery, plant, appliances, apparatus, or things
    necessary or convenient in connection therewith: £400
    to be called “The Wanganui Borough Council Tramways
    Additional Loan of £24,000”—

the Wanganui Borough Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of threepence (3d.) in the pound upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable pro-
perty of the Borough of Wanganui, comprising the whole
of the Borough of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are
defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the nineteenth day
of December, 1912, Number 92, at page 3618. And that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on
the second day of May and the second day of November in
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of twenty years from the second day of Novem-
ber, 1915, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses
of the Borough of Wanganui was hereto affixed by order of
the Council of the said borough this second day of November,
1915, by and in the presence of—

EPSON ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Epsom Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of £5,500, authorized to
be raised by the Epsom Road Board, under the above-
mentioned Act, for the completion of the general drainage
and reticulation of the whole of the Epsom Road District,
the said Epsom Road Board hereby makes and levies a
special rate of one-twelfth of a penny in the pound upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable
property of the Epsom Road District, comprising the whole
of the Epsom Road District; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
the said loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of
April and the first day of October in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-
four years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Inhabitants of the Epsom Road
District was affixed hereto at a special meeting of and by
order of the Epsom Road Board held on the 22nd day of
March, 1916, in the presence of—

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between the undersigned as Motor Agents
and Royal Mail Contractors at Kaikoura, under the style
or firm of “Laugesen & Coy.,” has this day been dissolved
by mutual consent. All debts due to and owing by the
late firm will be received and paid by Mr. CANNON, who
will in future carry on the business in his own name.

The businesses of L. E. Laugesen & Coy. at Cheviot and
Parnassus will be carried on by Mr. LAUGESEN as heretofore.
