Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange, and has agreed to pay to the Crown a sum of money by way of equality of exchange, and such sum does not exceed twenty-five per centum of the estimated value of the Crown land hereinbefore mentioned :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare that it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule upon payment by the owner thereof of the sum of money hereinbefore referred to by way of equality of exchange.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF CROWN LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 2,451 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being Section 1, Blocks XIII and XIV, Kuripapanga Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Kohurau 2c and 2d Blocks for 9945·8 and 8896·9 links ; towards the east generally by part Omahaki Block and part Lot 2, deposited plan 648, for 21973·9 links ; and towards the south-west and north-west generally by Small Grazing-run 112 and Section 2, Block XIII, Kuripapanga Survey District, for 33491 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1911/1761A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,388 acres, more or less, being part of Kohurau 2d Block (on undeposited plan No. 2534), Blocks IX and X, Kuripapanga Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Blocks 34, 35, and 135, Kuripapanga Crown-grant District, and Sections 3 and 4, Block IX, Kuripapanga Survey District, for 26699·4 links ; towards the south-east generally by part Kohurau 2d Block for 6963·7 links ; and towards the south-west generally by a public road. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1911/1761B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fifth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the twenty-sixth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction ; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

SUBURBAN LAND.
Raglan County.—Village of Harapepe.
SECTION 7 : Area, 10 acres 0 roods 32 perches ; upset price, £41.
Section 11 : Area, 3 acres 2 roods 16 perches ; upset price, £14 10s.
Section 15 : Area, 2 acres ; upset price, £8.
Section 16 : Area, 1 acre ; upset price, £4.
Section 17 : Area, 1 acre ; upset price, £4.
Level land of good quality, but overgrown with gorse and blackberry. Situated about three miles from Te Rore Post-office by good road.
RURAL LAND.
Whakatane County.—Rangitaiki Parish.
Lot 2, Section 54 : Area, 12 acres 3 roods ; upset price, £80.
Weighted with £8, valuation for 5 acres grassed and two Native whares.
Altitude, 5 ft. to 6 ft. above sea-level. Level land, swampy, but dry in summer, covered with manuka scrub. Soil of good quality, on clay subsoil. Distant six miles from Whakatane by boat along Orini River.
Waitomo County.—Pirongia Survey District.
Section 8, Block VIII : Area, 66 acres ; upset price, £330.
Altitude, 70 ft. to 200 ft. above sea-level. Undulating fern and manuka land, with some gorse, brier, and blackberry. Soil of fair second-class quality, on clay subsoil ; well watered by small stream. Distant four miles from Pirongia by fair road.
Raglan County.—Waipa Parish.
Section 46 : Area, 4 acres 3 roods 15 perches ; upset price, £50.
Altitude, 40 ft. to 80 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to broken land, all in scrub, broom, and blackberry. Soil of good second-class quality, on clay subsoil ; well watered by small stream. Distant half a mile from Ngaruawahia by good road.

Opening Lands in Southland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided in section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the rural lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on Wednesday, the twenty-first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen ; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may be selected on renewable lease only, in accordance with the provisions of section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as they contain, or are supposed to contain, metals, minerals, or valuable stone ; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.
