Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Ohawe Domain.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-first day of March, 1916.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. H. HERRIES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eleventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and nine, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Ohawe Domain:

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the eighth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen:

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

JOHN FINLAY,
FREDERICK MILLS,
EDWARD MORRISSEY,
ELLIOTT L’ESTRANGE BARTON,
JOHN BRYSON MURDOCH,
EDWIN DIXON, and
ALBERT MUGGERIDGE

to be the Ohawe Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the nineteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, at two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and Borough Council Chambers, Hawera, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

OHAWE DOMAIN.—HAWERA COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Sections Nos. 317 and 318, Ohawe Township.

Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 35 perches, more or less, being Section No. 320, Ohawe Township.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked S.G. 50560/20, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being Section 319, Town of Ohawe. As the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 50560, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered yellow.

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

to be the Waikouaiti Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the third day of April, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Domain Board’s Office, main North Road, Waikouaiti, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

WAIKOUAITI DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods, more or less, being Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, Block XI, Town of Hawksbury, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Block XI, 500 links; towards the north-east by Victoria Street, 300 links; towards the south-east by railway land, 500 links; and towards the south-west by Reid Street, 300 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Also all that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Sections 6, 7, 10, and 11, Block XII, Town of Hawksbury, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block XII, 500 links; towards the north-east by Reid Street, 200 links; towards the south-east by Sections 8 and 9, Block XII, 500 links; and towards the south-west by McGregor Street, 200 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
