And whereas it is expedient that the consent of the Governor in Council should issue :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing of the loan hereinbefore mentioned by the Hutt River Board, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Appropriation Act, 1915, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the raising of the loan hereby authorized.

Consenting to Land being taken for the Purposes of a Post-office in Block VI, Waiapu Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of March, 1916.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, in section fifteen thereof, inter alia, enacted that, except for the purposes of a railway or defence purposes, or for the purposes of any other work to be made under the authority of a special Act, nothing in this Act contained shall authorize the taking of any land occupied by any building, yard, garden, or vineyard, or in bona fide occupation as an ornamental park or pleasure-ground, without the previous consent of the Governor in Council :

And whereas part of the land described in the Schedule hereto is occupied by a building, and the Minister of Public Works has recommended the Governor to issue an Order in Council under the said Act consenting to the taking of the said land for the purposes of a post-office in Block VI, Waiapu Survey District :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes above mentioned.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land being taken: 1 rood 11 perches.

Portion of Tikitiki Block (Poverty Bay R.D.), Block VI, Waiapu Survey District.

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39359, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured pink.

Declaring Portion of Makakaho Road, in the Patea County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of March, 1916.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Patea County, known as the Makakaho Road, commencing at and including the Rakurawera Stream Bridge; thence proceeding in a north-easterly direction generally fronting Section 3 and part Section 2, Block III, Momahaki Survey District; and terminating at a point five chains north of the boundary between Sections 3 and 2 aforesaid, being a distance of 2 miles 25 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39817, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured blue.

Declaring Portion of Puketoi Road, in the Pahiatua County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of March, 1916.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of Puketoi Road, in the Wellington Land District, Pahiatua County, commencing at its junction with Mount Marchant Road, and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction generally, adjoining or passing through Sections 12 E.R., 4 and 9, Block II, Puketoi Survey District, and terminating at a point on the Pahiatua County boundary, being a distance of two miles, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39777, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Horokio Street, in the Town of Horopito West, Waimarino County, to be a County Road.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-first day of March, 1916.

THE HONOURABLE W. H. HERRIES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Town of Horopito West, Waimarino County, known as Horokio Street, commencing at its junction with Makotuku Valley Road, and proceeding in a north-westerly direction fronting Sections 1, 9, 10, 11, and 14, Block VI, Town of Horopito West, Manganui Survey District; intersecting Hiwai Street, fronting Sections 4 and 1, Block VII, of the aforesaid town; and terminating at its junction with Hioi Street; being a distance of eighteen chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39732, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured blue.
