Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE AREAS of the pieces of land taken:—

0 1 3·9, portion of Section 79; coloured grey.
1 3 32 " 76 " brown.
0 1 0·6 " 76 " grey.

Situated in Karaka Parish, Block XI, Drury Survey District [S.O. 18731 (5)].

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39649, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-third day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Land taken for a Further Portion of the Huntly-Awaroa Branch of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS part of the land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a further portion of the Huntly-Awaroa Branch of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway:

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinafter specified have been observed and performed:

And whereas it is desirable to take only the surface of such land for the purposes hereinafter specified, together with a portion of the subsoil thereof:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and section seven of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the surface of the land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, together with that part of the subsoil of such land below the formation-levels of the said railway shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 38310, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, as is described in the Second Schedule hereto, is hereby taken for a further portion of the aforesaid line of railway.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

PIECES OF LAND OF WHICH SURFACE IS TAKEN.

APPROXIMATE AREAS of the pieces of land:—

3 3 19, portion of Section 211; coloured red.
0 1 6 " 201 " yellow.

Situated in the Parish of Pepepe, Block II, Newcastle Survey District (S.O. 18600).

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 38310, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

SUBSOIL TAKEN.

As to the areas mentioned in the First Schedule: All the subsoil down to a plane one hundred (100) feet below and approximately parallel to the said line of formation-levels, such plane being horizontal transversely to the said line of formation-levels.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-third day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Land in the Maketu Survey District taken for a Branch Railway from the East Coast Main Trunk Railway to a Quarry in Block I, Maketu Survey District.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a branch line from the East Coast Main Trunk Railway to a quarry in Block I, Maketu Survey District:

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purpose hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the said branch line of railway hereinbefore specified.
