HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the Territorial Force :
1st Mounted Rifles (Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry).
Lieutenant John Coe having been struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force is absorbed into the establishment. Dated 16th February, 1916.
4th (Waikato) Mounted Rifles.
Sergeant Fabian Eric Spain to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 8th February, 1916.
6th (Manawatu) Mounted Rifles.
Charles William Liggins to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), vice Lieutenant Bird, with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Dated 5th February, 1916.
New Zealand Field Artillery.
2nd Lieutenant Edwin James Phillips to be Lieutenant. Dated 2nd September, 1915.
New Zealand Garrison Artillery.
2nd Lieutenant (on probation) George Herbert Malis Moir resigns his appointment. Dated 13th January, 1916.

11th Regiment (Taranaki Rifles).
Captain Frank Locke Hartnell, having been struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, is absorbed into the establishment. Dated 22nd February, 1916.
15th (North Auckland) Regiment.
Sergeant Robert Hugh Harris to be 2nd Lieutenant (supernumerary to establishment). Dated 12th February, 1916.
New Zealand Medical Corps.

Gavin Addie Forrest, M.B., B.S., to be Captain while employed with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Dated 18th February, 1916.
William Haddow Pettit, M.B., to be temporary Captain while employed with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Dated 28th January, 1916.
Lieutenant Philip Blaxland Benham is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 9th February, 1916.
Captain Ernest Augustus Boxer, having been struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, is absorbed into the establishment. Dated 14th February, 1916.

Major Norman John Rishworth to be Assistant Director. Dated 28th January, 1916.
Sergeant Howard Charles Edwards to be Lieutenant. Dated 2nd February, 1916.
New Zealand Chaplains Department.
The Reverend Archibald McNeur to be Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class. Dated 1st February, 1916.

Award of the Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers’ Decoration.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the award of a Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers’ Decoration to Major James Sandilands Douglas, 4th (Otago) Regiment, he having a total rank and commissioned service to 31st December, 1915, entitling him thereto of twenty years one hundred and eighty-seven days.
