Memoranda.
The date of the notice of the resignation of Quartermaster Honorary Captain Edward Patrick Coady from the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, as published in New Zealand Gazette No. 61, dated 6th May, 1915, should read 5th April, 1915, instead of 29th June, 1915, as therein stated.
The undermentioned officers are appointed for duty as Ships’ Quartermasters on the undermentioned Transports, New Zealand Expeditionary Force, with the ranks specified, while so employed :—

THE following special orders, made by the Moa Road Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

MOA ROAD BOARD.
SPECIAL order levying a special rate for one year, for the purpose of maintaining the Rugby Road.
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Road Boards Act, 1908, the Moa Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That the prayer of the petition of the ratepayers of the Rugby Road be granted, and the Moa Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of maintaining the Rugby Road, hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable property of the Rugby Road Special-rating Area, comprising part Section 41, Sections 78 (in two subdivisions), 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, part Section 87, Sections 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94 (in two subdivisions), and part Section 97, Block V, Huiroa Survey District; and that such special rate shall be for one year, for the period commencing on the 1st day of January, 1916, and ending on the 31st day of December, 1916, and be payable in one instalment on the 11th day of March, 1916.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with the Road Boards Act, 1908, at a special meeting of the Moa Road Board held on the 15th day of January, 1916, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 19th day of February, 1916.

BOROUGH OF TAIHAPE.
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give public notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of that part of the Borough of Taihape known as the “Taihape Water-supply and Electric-lighting Special-rating District” taken on Monday, the 21st day of February, 1916, on the proposal of the Taihape Borough Council to borrow the sum of £3,500, by way of special loan, for the purpose of procuring supplementary plant for the borough’s water and electric-lighting works, the following number of votes were recorded for and against the proposal: For the proposal, 22; against the proposal, 1; informal, nil. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
