And whereas application has been made for the consent
of the Governor in Council to a mortgage of the block or
parcel of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto: And
whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of the
Governor in Council should issue:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the confirmation of an alienation
by way of mortgage of the block or parcel of land set out
in the Schedule hereto. And it is hereby declared that this
Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf
of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly
as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings
hereby authorized.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-
second day of February, 1916.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING
IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section two hundred and thirty of the
Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that no instru-
ment of alienation of Native land by way of mortgage or
charge, other than a mortgage or charge in favour of a State
Loan Department, shall be confirmed by a Board or the
Court without the precedent consent of the Governor in
Council:

And whereas application has been made for the consent of
the Governor in Council to a mortgage of the block or parcel
of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto: And whereas it
is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor in
Council should issue:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-
second day of February, 1916.

IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase
Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-
three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the
power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section,
His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby pro-
hibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order
in Council, all alienations of the Native lands specified in
the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the
Crown.


SCHEDULE.

PUHANGATEURU No. 3B Block, Section 2: Approximate area,
70 acres 3 roods 17 perches; Waihou Survey District.

Variation of an Order in Council prohibiting all Private
Alienation of certain Native Lands.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-
second day of February, 1916.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING
IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-three
of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that
any Order in Council made under that section may at any
time be varied or revoked:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the
Order in Council as set out in the first part of the Schedule
hereto, only in so far as it affects the land mentioned in
the second part of the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

FIRST PART.

Order in Council under section 363 of the Native Land Act,
1909, dated the 6th day of February, 1915, and published in
the New Zealand Gazette dated the 6th February, 1915, and
subsequent extension for six months, published in the New
Zealand Gazette dated the 27th January, 1916.

SECOND PART.

Manutahi 1A, 80 acres, Mangaoporo Survey District.

be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this first day of
March, 1916.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him
by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excel-
lency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that
the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall,
on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a
county road.
