Declaring certain Areas added to the Counties of Waitotara and Patea to be included in certain Ridings of such Counties.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the twenty-sixth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, the boundaries of the Counties of Waitotara and Patea were altered by the inclusion in each of the said counties of a part or parts of the other: And whereas it is desirable that the areas so added to the Waitotara County should be included in the Tokomaru and Waitotara Ridings of that county, and the area added to the Patea County should be included in the Kapara Riding of that county:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section twenty-two of the Counties Act, 1908, do hereby declare that the areas included as aforesaid in the Waitotara County shall be included in the Tokomaru and Waitotara Ridings of the said county, and that the boundaries of those ridings shall be those set forth in the First Schedule hereto, and that the area included in the Patea County shall be included in the Kapara riding of that county, and that the boundaries of that riding shall be those set forth in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF TOKOMARU RIDING, WAITOTARA COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Waitotara County bounded towards the north-west by Whangamomona County from the north-eastern boundary of Stratford County to the middle of the Wanganui River, towards the north-east and east by a line along the middle of that river to a point opposite the southern boundary of the Tauwhare Block in the Waipakura Survey District; thence towards the south generally by a line to and by the southern boundary of that block to the Kai-iwi Stream, and by that stream to its confluence with the Mangaone Stream; thence towards the west generally by the said Mangaone Stream to Small-grazing Run No. 27, by the western boundaries of Small-grazing Runs 27 and 26 to Aramaire Trig. Station; thence by the summit of the range to Pakira Trig. Station, and by Patea and Stratford Counties to Whangamomona County, the place of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF WAITOTARA RIDING, WAITOTARA COUNTY.

All that area in Waitotara County bounded towards the north-west generally by Patea County from the sea to Pakira Trig. Station; thence towards the east generally by Tokomaru Riding hereinbefore described to the northern boundary of Rangitatau No. 1B Block, by that block to the Karemu Stream, by that stream to its confluence with the Kai-iwi Stream, and by the Kai-iwi Stream to the western boundary of Block XVI, Nukumaru Survey District, and by that block and Blocks 1 and 4, Westmere Survey District, to the sea; and towards the south by the sea to Patea County, the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF KAPARA RIDING, PATEA COUNTY.

ALL that area in Patea County bounded towards the north by Stratford County from the eastern boundary of Eltham County to Waitotara County; thence towards the east generally by Waitotara County to the Waitotara River; towards the west generally by that river to the confiscation boundary-line; towards the south-west by the said confiscation boundary-line to the Whenuakura River; again towards the west by that river to its confluence with the Moeawatea River, by the said Moeawatea River to the eastern boundary of Hawera County, and by Hawera and Eltham Counties to the southern boundary of Stratford County, the place of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Settlement Lands set apart for Disposal by Way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Hawke’s Bay Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the settlement lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 117 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Lots 1 to 6, part of Section 5, Ngatapa Settlement, Block XV, Waikohu Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by public road, towards the east and south-east by Section 6 (Ngatapa Settlement), and towards the south-west by railway reserve. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/3G, deposited in Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
