SHOAL NEAR NO. 5 BUOY, WEST CHANNEL, PORT PHILLIP.—Mariners and others are hereby notified that a small shoal, carrying 15 ft. at low water, exists about 250 ft. eastwards of No. 5 Black Buoy, West Channel.

AUCKLAND HARBOUR.—DEVONPORT SANDSPIT BEACON-LIGHT.—CHARACTERISTIC TO BE CHANGED.

THE Auckland Harbour Board have notified that on and after the 24th January the characteristic of the light on the Sandspit Beacon off Devonport will be changed from a fixed white light to a flashing red light showing two seconds light and four seconds eclipse.

THE Auckland Harbour Board have notified that the dredger “Hapai” is now working between Hobson Wharf and the “Ferries,” and has six moorings laid out in N., S., E., and W. directions.
