NOTICE is hereby given that the license of the under-
mentioned land having been declared forfeited by
resolution of the Southland Land Board, the said land
has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions
of the Land Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Commissioners ap-
pointed to classify and report on rural lands in the
Marlborough Land District have classified the pastoral runs
in the Schedule hereto as therein noted.

SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—CLASS A.
Being Lands suitable exclusively for Pasturage and not
capable of being used with Profit in Areas of a Carrying-
capacity of less than 5,000 Sheep.

RUN 117, Awatere and Marlborough Counties: Area, 28,400
acres.
Run 119, Awatere, Marlborough, and Amuri Counties:
Area, 123,400 acres.
Part Run 120, Awatere County: Area, 29,200 acres
(national endowment).
Part Run 120, Awatere County: Area, 6,900 acres (national
endowment).
Run 128A, Kaikoura County: Area, 1,900 acres.

Reserve in Auckland Land District for Lease by Public
Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land
will be offered for lease by public auction at this office
at 11 o’clock a.m. on Friday, the 18th day of February, 1916,
for a term of ten years, under the provisions of the Public
Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and amendments.

SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—HOKIANGA COUNTY.—RAWENE
TOWN.
SECTION 247C: Area, 13 perches; annual rental (minimum),
£20.
Situated adjoining wharf at Rawene, in main street.
Weighted with £700, being valuation for improvements con-
sisting of store and dwelling.

ABSTRACT OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

1. The lease shall be subject to resumption by six months’
   notice in the event of the land being required by the Crown.
2. The lessee shall have no right to compensation, either
   for improvements put on the land or on account of the afore-
   said possible resumption, or for any other cause; but he may,
   on the expiration or sooner determination of the lease, remove
   all buildings or fences erected by him, but not otherwise.
3. The lessee shall not sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose
   of his interest in the lease without the written consent of the
   Commissioner of Crown Lands.
4. The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of all
   noxious weeds on the land, and he shall with all reasonable
   despatch remove, or cause to be removed, all noxious weeds
   or plants as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown
   Lands.
5. The lessee shall discharge all rates, taxes, charges, and
   other assessments that may become due and payable,
6. Rental payments in arrear for two calendar months
   shall render the lease liable to termination; or a breach of
   covenant in the lease, expressed or implied, shall entitle
   the Crown to re-enter and determine the lease.
7. One half-year’s rent at the rate bid and value of im-
   provements, together with £1 ls. lease fee, to be deposited
   on the fall of the hammer.
