Consenting to stopping a Road in Blocks I and II, Rodney Survey District, Rodney County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this fourth day of January, 1916.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three (a) of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county road or district road to be stopped until the consent theretof of the Governor, by Order in Council gazetted, is obtained:
And whereas the Rodney County Council has applied for such consent in respect of the road described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Rodney County Council stopping the road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 12 acres 1 rood 32 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Sections W. 49, E. 49, 50, N.W. and S.E. 48, 47, 46.
Situated in Omaha Parish (17394, blue), Blocks I and II, Rodney Survey District.
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36910, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Defining Purposes of New Zealand War Relief Fund.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the war fund known as the New Zealand War Relief Fund (hereinafter referred to as “the said fund”) and the administration thereof has been transferred to the National War Funds Council as established under the War Funds Act, 1915:
And whereas the National War Funds Council is of opinion that the purposes for which the said fund has been established are not sufficiently defined, and has made application to the Governor to define the purposes for which the said fund shall be deemed to have been established:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him in that behalf by the said War Funds Act, 1915, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the said fund shall be deemed to have been established for the following purposes in connection with the present war, that is to say:—
(a.) The relief of the sick and wounded soldiers;
(b.) The relief of the dependants of sick and wounded soldiers and the dependants of soldiers killed in action or who have died while on active service;
(c.) The establishment or equipment of institutions for the care of sick and wounded soldiers;
(d.) Any other purpose arising out of or incidental to the proper administration of the said fund for the purposes hereinbefore defined:
And doth further declare that the term “soldier” as herein used shall be deemed to include any member of the New Zealand Naval Forces or of any Expeditionary Force raised in New Zealand for service in the present war.

Declaring Portion of Pongahuru Road, in the Ohura County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this fourth day of January, 1916.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of the Pongahuru Road, in the Taranaki Land District, Ohura County, commencing at its junction with the Kururau Road, and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction generally for a distance of one mile (approximately) between Sections 2E and 2E 3D, Block II, Piopiotea West Survey District. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39134, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

ALL that portion of the Kohua Road, in the Taranaki Land District, Waitomo County, commencing at its junction with the Waitahi Road, and proceeding thence in an easterly direction generally, adjoining or passing through Section part No. 1A No. 2B, Block X, Sections 7, 3 (school-site), Block XI, Totoro Survey District, to its junction with the Owen Road, being a distance of 2 miles 10 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39144, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.
