NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary
general meeting of the shareholders of the Maurice-
ville Lime Company (Limited) held on Thursday, the 13th
day of January, 1916, at the registered office of the com-
pany, 39 Johnston Street, Wellington, the following special
resolutions were passed:—
“1. That the arrangement made by the directors for the
transfer of the property of the company be adopted.
“2. That the company be wound up voluntarily under
the provision of the Companies Act, 1908; and that Mr. W.
S. WHEELER be appointed Liquidator; and the directors,
Messrs. W. Cable, O. S. Watkins, R. L. Mestayer, and J.
M. Hume, be appointed an Advisory Committee for the
purpose of such winding-up, with power to enter into the
proposed arrangement for the transfer of the property of
the company.”
Notice is also given that at an extraordinary general meet-
ing of the shareholders of the Mauriceville Lime Company
(Limited) held on Friday, the 28th day of January, 1916, at
the registered office of the company, the special resolutions
before named were confirmed.

BOROUGH OF MOUNT EDEN.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Mount
Eden Borough Council held on Monday, 31st day of
January, 1916, the following resolution was passed:—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and
Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1915, the Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1913, and amendments, and all other Acts it
hereunto enabling, the Mount Eden Borough Council
hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of £11,900, authorized to be raised
by the Mount Eden Borough Council, under the above-
mentioned Acts, being the amount expended by the said
Council on road-construction and other public works in
excess of the amounts received by it in respect of the de-
bentures issued for the loans raised for such works, the
Mount Eden Borough Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of one penny halfpenny in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of
Mount Eden; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being for a period to
expire on the 1st day of October, 1922, or until the loan is
fully paid off.”

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL RESOLUTION MADE ON THE TWENTY-FIRST DAY OF
JANUARY, 1916.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the
Cook County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for
metalling four miles of Lower Hangaroa Road, the said
Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of one-sixth of a penny in the £1, upon the rateable value of
all rateable property of the Lower Hangaroa Special-rating
District, comprising Secs. 1 and part 19, Blocks VII, VIII,
Hangaroa; Sec. 18, Blocks VII, VIII, Hangaroa; Secs. 3,
20, Blocks IV, VIII, Hangaroa; Small Grazing-run 27;
Sec. 1, Block I, Patutahi; Secs. 1, 3, 4, Block V, Patutahi;
Secs. 11, 9, Block VIII, Hangaroa; Sec. 4, Block IX,
Patutahi; Secs. 27/30, 37/41, 43, 47, 73, 86, Hangaroa
Village; Sec. 2, Hangaroa-Matawai; Small Grazing-run 65;
Secs. 25, 26, 74 to 77, 36, 42, 45, 46, 78, 79, Block VIII,
Hangaroa; Sec. 1 of 4, parts 5, 6, 1 of 6, 7, 10, 12/14,
15/17, 22, Block VIII, Hangaroa; Secs. 1A, 1D, Tauwharetoi;
Lot 1, Small Grazing-run 29; Secs. 2, 3, Lot 2 of 4, 8, 21,
Block VIII, Hangaroa; Secs. 5, 6, Block V, Patutahi;
Lot 2, Small Grazing-run 32; Small Grazing-runs 31, 35,
and 62; Sec. 2, Block V, Patutahi. And that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July
in each and every year during a period equal to the currency
of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or
until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be
four and a half per cent.

habitants of the County of Cook was hereto affixed in the

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL INTEREST RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Waitoa Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £800, authorized to be raised by the
Waitoa Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for
the improvement of drains in the Western Area No. 2 Special-
rating District of the said Waitoa Drainage District, the
Waitoa Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special
rate of three-farthings in the pound upon the rateable value
of all the rateable property within the Western Area No. 2
Special-rating District, comprising the whole of the lands
within the aforesaid Western Area No. 2 Special-rating Dis-
trict; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-
yearly on the first day of February and the first day of July
