Sitting of the Native Land Court at Whakatane.
NOTICE is hereby given that the matters mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written will be heard by the Native Land Court sitting at Whakatane on the 21st day of February, 1916, or as soon thereafter as the business of the Court will allow.

Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.
REGULATION No. 52.
THE Maori Land Board for the Waikato-Maniapoto Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Rangitoto A No. 24B will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Shannon on Friday, the 24th day of February, 1916, at 11.30 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:—
“That the land be sold to S. J. Pemberton, H. L. Pemberton, and G. C. Hornesham for the sum of £1 5s. per acre.”

REGULATION No. 52.
THE Maori Land Board for the Tokerau Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Hanerau No. 3c will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Batley on Saturday, the 26th day of February, 1916, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:—
“That the said block be sold to Arthur Trewin at Government valuation.”

Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.
REGULATION No. 52.
THE Maori Land Board for the Tokerau Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Orakei No. 5 Reserve will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Auckland on Tuesday, the 29th day of February, 1916, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:—
“That an offer made by the Crown to purchase the land or any part thereof shall be accepted.”

Maori Land for Lease by Public Tender.
Office of the Ikaroa District Maori Land Board,
Wellington, 8th February, 1916.
NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders will be received at the office of the Ikaroa District Maori Land Board, Wellington, up to 12 o’clock noon on Tuesday, the 14th March, 1916, for lease of the undermentioned land, on the terms and conditions as set out hereunder.
SCHEDULE.
TAONUI-AHUATURANGA No. 1B.—BLOCK V, KAIRANGA SURVEY DISTRICT.
AREA, 17 acres 3 roods 24 perches; upset rental, £50 per annum.
The property is situated in the heart of the well-known Kairanga District, about eight miles distant from Palmerston North, and is within a mile and a quarter of a co-operative creamery and a mile and a half from a school. The land is of the very best quality, and is well watered by the Taonui Stream, which never floods or causes erosion.
The property contains a four-roomed house, which has just been completely renovated, and a number of outbuildings, including stable, cow-bails, store-shed, and poultry-houses.
ABSTRACT OF CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

Term of lease, twenty-one years, commencing on the 1st January, 1916. Lessee may enter into possession immediately upon acceptance of tender, and shall be entitled to a rebate of amount for the period from the 1st January to the date of acceptance of tender.

The rental shall not be for less than the given upset rental as shown above.

Every tender shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the President, and marked on the outside as follows: “Tender for lease of Taonui-Ahuaturanga No. 1B, as advertised in the newspaper of the day of , 1916,” and shall be accompanied by a statutory declaration in the prescribed form.

Each tender must be accompanied by six months’ rent, lease fee (£3 3s.), and an amount sufficient to cover stamp duty and registration fee.

Deposits sent by post must be by post-office order, draft, or cheque marked by the bank on which it is drawn as “Correct for thirty days,” in favour of the Ikaroa District Maori Land Board. Deposits will be returned to applicants in case of non-success.

Rental to be paid half-yearly in advance on the 1st January and the 1st July in each year.

Lessee to pay all rates, taxes, and assessments (land-tax excepted).

Lessee not to transfer, sublet, or mortgage without the prior consent of the Board.

Lessee to insure all buildings.
-
Lessee to execute lease within thirty days after being notified that it is ready for signature.
-
Lease is liable to forfeiture if conditions are violated.
The land is described for the general information of intending selectors, who are recommended, nevertheless, to make a personal inspection, as the Board is not responsible for the absolute accuracy of any description.
