Results of Polls for Proposed Loans.

THE following notices, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Hamilton, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Hamilton taken on the 26th day of January, 1916, on the proposal of the Hamilton Borough Council to borrow the sum of £1,500 for the following purposes—to provide and erect poles, cables, and all necessary appliances for the transmission and supply of electricity for motive power—the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 78, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 36; informal, 1: total, 115.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Dated this 27th day of January, 1916.

HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Hamilton taken on the 26th day of January, 1916, on the proposal of the Hamilton Borough Council to borrow the sum of £700 for the following purposes—to take and acquire, under the provisions of the Public Works Act or otherwise, all those pieces of land being Allotments 320 and 325 of the Town of Hamilton West, including the compensation or purchase price of the same and all costs and expenses of so taking or acquiring the said land—the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 84, the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 30; informal, 1: total, 115.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

AWAKINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

Marakopa-Mangapohue Special-rating District.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1916, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Marakopa-Mangapohue Special-rating District taken on the 19th day of January, 1916, on the proposal of the Awakino County Council to raise a loan of £5,300 for the purpose of completing the forming of and for widening, culverting, and metalling portion of the Marakopa Valley Road, portion of the Kairimu Road, and portion of the Mangapohue Road, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 11, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was nil.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

BOROUGH OF TE AWAMUTU.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Te Awamutu was taken on the 31st day of January, 1916, on the proposal of the Te Awamutu Borough Council to borrow the sum of £5,000 (five thousand pounds) to construct, form, and metal streets in the Borough of Te Awamutu, including the purchase or hire of all necessary plant, machinery, tools, and material.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 66. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 25.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Dated this 1st day of February, 1916.

BOROUGH OF TE AWAMUTU.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Te Awamutu was taken on the 31st day of January, 1916, on the proposal of the Te Awamutu Borough Council to borrow the sum of £2,500 (two thousand five hundred pounds) to erect a building to be used as municipal offices and as a public library.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 56. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 35.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
