Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 374
of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and seventy-four
of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred
to as “the said Act”), and by section fourteen of the Native
Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that,
on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has
been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the
authority of the said Act, the Governor may issue a Pro-
clamation that such land has become Crown land :
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the
Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of
the Crown under the authority of the said Act :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and
seventy-four of the said Act, and by section fourteen of the
Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set
out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

TIRATU Section 3 Block (portion of Manawatu 4d Block):
Approximate area, 5,727 acres 1 rood 29 perches; Taho-
raite Survey District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zea-
land and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Govern-
ment House at Wellington, this fourth day of
February, in the year of our Lord one thousand
nine hundred and sixteen.

a Previous Proclamation under Section 374 of the Native
Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and seventy-four
of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred
to as “the said Act”), and by section fourteen of the
Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia,
that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land
has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown
under the authority of the said Act the Governor may
issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown
land: And whereas it is further provided that any such
Proclamation made in error may be at any time amended or
revoked by the Governor :
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in
the second part of the Schedule hereto has been duly
completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority
of the said Act: And whereas the Proclamation referred
to in the first part of the Schedule hereto was made in
error :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority conferred upon me by section three hundred
and seventy-four of the said Act, and by section fourteen
of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation referred to in the first part of the Schedule
hereto, and in its stead do hereby proclaim the land men-
tioned in the second part of the said Schedule to be Crown
land.

SCHEDULE.

FIRST PART.

PROCLAMATION under section 374 of the Native Land Act,
1909, dated 29th November, 1915, and published in the New
Zealand Gazette dated 2nd December, 1915, declaring the

Mangareia B Section 5 Block, comprising 161 acres 2 roods,
to be Crown land.

SECOND PART.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing
by admeasurement 284 acres 3 roods 38 perches, more or less,
being Mangareia B No. 5 Block. Bounded towards the
north-east by Mangareia B No. 4, B No. 2, and B No. 6
Blocks; towards the east by Mangareia Stream; towards the
south-west by Mangareia C and G Blocks; and towards the
west generally by the Mangamai re Stream.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zea-
land and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Govern-
ment House at Wellington, this fourth day of
February, in the year of our Lord one thousand
nine hundred and sixteen.

Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclama-
tion referred to in the first part of the Schedule hereto, and
in its stead do hereby proclaim the land mentioned in the
second part of the said Schedule to be Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

FIRST PART.

PROCLAMATION under section 374 of the Native Land Act,
1909, dated 3rd April, 1913, and published in the New
Zealand Gazette dated 10th April, 1913, declaring the Ota-
whao A No. 6d Block to be Crown land.

SECOND PART.

Otawhao A No. 6d, Section 2, containing by admeasure-
ment 526 acres 0 roods 35 perches, more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
