THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

(£3,500), authorized to be raised by the Thames County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming and metalling Waitakaruru District Roads, the said Thames County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waitakaruru District Special-rating Area, comprising all that parcel of land bounded as follows :—
Starting at the point where the southern boundary of the County of Thames intersects the eastern boundary of the Waikato County; thence in a north-westerly and north-easterly direction along the boundary of the aforesaid County of Thames to the Firth of Thames; thence easterly along the Firth of Thames to the centre-line of the Waitakaruru Stream; thence southerly along the centre-line of the aforesaid Waitakaruru Stream to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block IV, Piako Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction along the north-east boundaries (original boundary of Hauraki Plains Area) of the aforesaid Section 1 and Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7, all of Block IV, Piako Survey District, and Section 4 and part of Section 5 of Block VIII, Piako Survey District, to the intersection with the southern boundary of the County of Thames; and thence westerly along the southern boundary of the aforesaid County of Thames to the point of commencement.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed and recorded in the minutes of the ordinary meeting of the Thames County Council held on the 5th December, 1916.

That the Council be constituted a registering authority for the registration of motor vehicles in accordance with section 13 of the Motor Registration Act, 1908.

UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Education Board of the District of Wellington to take the land described at foot hereof for the purposes of a public school.
A plan of the said land is deposited at the post-office, Island Bay, and is now open to public inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work, or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the said Board.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND PROPOSED TO BE TAKEN.
All that piece of land containing 1 rood 7 perches, and being the lot number 186 on deposited plan number 816, and part of the section number 6, Town District, and situate in Melbourne Road and Thames Street, Island Bay.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto subsisting between us, LOUIS GORDON and HARRY GORDON, of Churchill, Farmers, and carried on under the style or firm-name of “Gordon Brothers,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent, and that all debts owing by the said firm will be paid by Louis Gordon.
