In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the
matter of the WAOTU TIMBER COMPANY (LIMITED).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of
the above company duly convened and held at Wel-
ington on the 14th day of December, 1916, the following
resolution was duly passed :—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the com-
pany that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities,
continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the
same, and accordingly that the company be wound up
voluntarily.”
And at the same meeting GEORGE ROSS, of Wellington,
Public Accountant, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose
of such winding-up.

HAWKE’S BAY COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN BLOCK I, OERO
SURVEY DISTRICT, FOR ROAD PURPOSES.
NOTICE is hereby given that the lands described in the
Schedule hereto are required for the purposes of a
certain public work—to wit, a public road—and that it is
proposed to take the same for the said purposes under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and its amend-
ments; and, further, that a plan of the lands proposed to be
so taken, showing the names of the owners and occupiers
thereof, so far as they can be ascertained, has been deposited
in the offices of the Hawke’s Bay County Council in Browning
Street, Napier, and will there remain open to inspection by
all persons at all reasonable hours during a period of forty
days from this date, and all persons affected by the taking
of the said lands or the construction of the said work are
hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded
objections which they are able to prefer against the taking
of the said lands or the execution of the said work, and to
send such writing or writings to the said County Council
within forty days from this date, being the date of the first
publication of this notice.
SCHEDULE.
FIRSTLY, all that piece of land situate in the Provincial
District of Hawke’s Bay, containing by admeasurement
two (2) acres two (2) roods eleven decimal four (11·4) perches,
more or less, being portion of that subdivision of the Pata-
gata Block which is known as Patangata 4A Number 2,
and comprising the strip coloured pink on Public Works Plan
Number 539, and being part of the land described in certifi-
cate of title, Volume 64, folio 262, Hawke’s Bay Registry.
Secondly, all that piece of land situate as aforesaid, con-
taining by admeasurement 1 rood 10·6 perches, more or less,
being portion of that subdivision of the Patangata Block
which is known as Patangata 4A Number 3, and comprising
the strip coloured blue on the said plan, and being portion of
the land described in the said certificate of title, Volume 64,
folio 262, Hawke’s Bay Registry.

WAITOTARA COUNTY COUNCIL.
COPY OF RESOLUTION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Waitotara County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest, and also the other charges,
on a loan of £400 (four hundred pounds), authorized to be
raised by the Waitotara County Council, under the Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of forming, widening,
and metalling the Kaikokopu Road, to be called the Kaiko-
kopu Road Special Loan of £400, the said Waitotara County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-
sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value
of all rateable property in the Kaikokopu Road Special-
rating District, comprising Subdivisions 9 to 16 inclusive
of the Lily Bank Estate and Sub-lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of the
Kaikokopu Estate, and Sections 42 and 43, Kaikokopu
Estate, containing a total area of 1,079 acres 3 roods 38 per-
ches, in the Westmere Survey District; and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of
September in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at a duly constituted meeting of the Waitotara County
Council held on Monday, 11th December, 1916.
