Settlement Land set apart for Disposal by Way of Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Ordinary Tenures, in the Canterbury Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of settlement lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of lease to discharged soldiers, on ordinary tenures, under the Land Act, 1908, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1908.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road at Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the City of Auckland, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Auckland City Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 2 acres 3 roods 26·7 perches.
Portion of railway reserve, Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District, City of Auckland.
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 24110,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured purple.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fourteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Post-office in Block VII, Ohinewairua Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a post-office in Block VII, Ohinewairua Survey District:
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said post-office; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirtieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Portion of Awarua 2c No. 13J, Block VII, Ohinewairua Survey District.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 40558, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
