A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

Lots Nos. 6 and 7, Eccleston No. 2 West Settlement: Area, 2 roods 28·5 perches.

Resuming Land for a Site for a Public School in Block II, Orieri Survey District, Marlborough Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor in Council may by Proclamation resume possession of any land leased under Part V of the said Act, or under any corresponding Part of the Land Act, 1892, which in his opinion is required for any public purpose:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land which is held under small-grazing-run lease from His Majesty the King issued under the Land Act, 1892, dated the thirteenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public purpose—that is to say, for a site for a public school:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the same being part of the land held under small-grazing-run lease as aforesaid.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section No. 15 (originally part of Section 6, Small Grazing-run 71), Block II, Orieri Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by part of Section 6, Small Grazing-run 71, 421·2 links; towards the north-east by part of Section 6, Small Grazing-run 71, 236·5 links; towards the south-east generally by a public road along the shore of Te Matau-a-Maui Bay, 150 links, 160·3 links, and 150 links; and towards the south-west by part Section 6, Small Grazing-run 71, 287·8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/111, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.

Revoking the Reservation over a Scenic Reserve in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the sixteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seven, certain lands in the Wellington Land District were declared to be reserves under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1903, and the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1906:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto (being part of the lands so set apart) is no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the destruction of the bush thereon:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 12 acres 3 roods 2 perches, more or less, being Section 8, Block IV, Retaruke Survey District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
