Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block VI, Takahue Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a road in Block VI, Takahue Survey District:
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said road; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken:—
A. R. P.
0 2 0, portion of 8 E.R.; coloured purple.
2 0 20 " 8 E.R. " red.
0 3 0 " 8 E.R. " red.
Situated in Block VI, Takahue Survey District (S.O. 18955).
In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 40846 (sheet 1), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this seventh day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Additional Land in Waikohu Survey District for the Purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Gisborne Southwards).

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, it is enacted that if at any time after the issue or making of any Proclamation taking land under the Public Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found that the land or any part thereof is not required for the purpose for which it was taken, or that any error in form or substance exists in or in relation to that Proclamation or the making or gazetting thereof, the Governor may, by a subsequent Proclamation gazetted, revoke the former Proclamation, either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary:
And whereas it is found that portion of the land taken for the purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Gisborne Southwards) by a Proclamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen (hereinafter termed “the said Proclamation”), and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 67, page 1958, of the fifteenth day of the same month, is not now required for the purpose for which it was taken:
And whereas compensation in respect of the taking of the said land has not been paid or awarded:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling me in that behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the said Proclamation as affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Sections 5 and 6 of the Impounding Act, 1908, to be in Force in the City of Dunedin.—Notice No. 1856.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS under the provisions of the Impounding Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), the Council of the City of Dunedin has by a resolution passed by more than two-thirds of the members of the said Council requested His Excellency the Governor to declare that sections five and six of the said Act shall be in force within the city aforesaid: And whereas it appears expedient to give effect to the said resolution:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby declare that sections five and six of the said Act shall be in force within the City of Dunedin aforesaid as from the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
