OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Otamatea County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £4,750, authorized to be raised by the Otamatea County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of metalling and general improvement of roads in the Wairau Riding of the Otamatea County, the said Otamatea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/8 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property lying in the Wairau Riding of the Otamatea County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE COMPANIES ACT, 1908.

In the matter of the DUNEDIN FERRY COMPANY (LIMITED), being a private company.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in accordance with the provisions of subsection (6) of section 168 of the Companies Act, 1908, by an entry in the minute-book of the Dunedin Ferry Company (Limited), signed by all of the members of the company on the 29th day of November, 1916, it was resolved—

  1. That the company be wound up voluntarily; and
  2. That HUGH HUTCHISON INGLIS, of No. 12 Dowling Street, Dunedin, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Blenheim Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of one thousand one hundred pounds, authorized to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing the Council’s share of the cost of the approaches and protective work in connection with the construction of the bridge over the Opawa River at the northern end of Grove Road, Blenheim, the said Blenheim Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five ninety-sixths of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Blenheim ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the tenth days of December and June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the twenty-third day of November, 1916.

HOBSON COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Hobson County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500), authorized to be raised by the Hobson County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and metalling the Aratapu–Dargaville Road, the said Hobson County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Aratapu Riding; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of resolution duly passed at a meeting of the Hobson County Council held on the 22nd day of November, 1916.

PAHIATUA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Pahiatua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000), authorized to be raised by the Pahiatua Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the installation of electric light and power in the Borough of Pahiatua, and for the purpose of assisting owners and occupiers of the said borough to pay for the cost of connecting their buildings with any electric-light main, and of laying on all necessary fittings and meters, the said Pahiatua Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Pahiatua, comprising part of Block 8, Mangahao Survey District, bounded on the north by Sections 10 and 11, Block 8, Mangahao Survey District; on the south by the Tiraumea and Halls Roads; on the east by Sections 12, 18, and 22, Block 8, Mangahao Survey District; and on the west by the Mangatainoka River; and being the whole of the Borough of Pahiatua. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Council held on the 13th day of November, 1916.
