WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wai-
marino County Council hereby resolves as follows :-

That, for the purpose of providing the payment of interest,
sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of two hundred
pounds (£200), authorized to be raised by the said Waimarino
County Council, under the said Act, for the purpose of forming,
clearing, and forming into a dray-road the Mangaeturoa Road
from the end of the present formation to the boundary of
the Tupapanui Block, the said Waimarino County Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and
one-sixteenth of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property in the Tupapanui Special-rating Area, such special-
rating area comprising the following lands,-

(1.) Section Tupapanui Number 2B 2, Blocks IX, X, XIII,
and XIV, Survey District of Makotuku.

(2.) Section Tupapanui Number 2B 1, Blocks XIII and
XIV, Survey District of Makotuku aforesaid.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
special rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six
(36) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, Arthur Mabbott, Clerk of the Waimarino County Council,
do hereby certify that the above resolution is a true and
correct extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Wai-
marino County Council held on the 11th day of November,
1916.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows :-

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £750, authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua
County Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
for the purpose of extending the Kuku Water-race system,
the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of one farthing in the pound upon the
rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Kuku
Water-race Extension Special-rating District, comprising in
Block IV, Waitohu S.D., Subdivision Ohau No. 3A, No. 2
part Sec. 2; Ohau No. 3, Sec. part 3c, Lots 21, 22, 18A of
Sec. 26, part Sec. 25, Sec. 16, 17 ; part Sec. 18B, part Sec. 4,
part Sec. 1; Man-Kuk 4E 3, No. 2B; also in Block VII,
Waitohu Survey District, Sections 7, part 9, and part 9A.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

I certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution
passed by the Horowhenua County Council at a meeting held
on the 14th October, 1916, and duly confirmed on the 9th
November, 1916.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows :-

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in

on a loan of £1,250, authorized to be raised by the Horo-
whenua County Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1913, for widening and deepening the Koputaru Stream,
and constructing new drains, the said Horowhenua County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and
twenty-seven fiftieths pence (1d. and 27/50d.) in the pound
upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property in
the Koputaru Stream Special-rating District, comprising
Manawatu-Kukutauaki 7D, parts 2, 3, 4, and 5, Blocks XIII
and XIV, Mt. Robinson S.D.; part 2 and part 3 Takapau
No. 1, XIII and XIV, Mt. Robinson; part 11A B, 12, 1A, 2,
1A, and 3, 1A, Ihakara Reserve; part 2A, Man-Kuk 3; part
2E of 2 Man-Kuk; part Sections 1, 2, and 3, Block X, Mt.
Robinson; part 7E Man-Kuk, and part Lot 2A Man-Kuk,
7D Sec. 3. And that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL ORDER RAISING SUPPLEMENTARY LOAN OF £2,100.

WHEREAS the Waipawa County Council in the year
1913 did, for the purpose of erecting bridges and for
constructing, improving, deviating, and metalling roads
within the Waipawa County, raise a special loan of £21,000;
And whereas the amount of the said loan has been found
insufficient to complete the undertaking in respect of which
the said loan was raised:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
vested in and conferred upon it in that behalf by the pro-
visions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and in pur-
suance and exercise of all other powers enabling it in that
behalf, the Waipawa County Council doth hereby resolve by
special order:-

  1. To raise a special loan of and to borrow the sum of
    £2,100 for the purpose of completing the undertaking in
    respect of which the said loan of £21,000 was raised.

  2. That the said loan of £2,100 to be so raised shall be for
    the term of seventeen years, or thereabouts—that is to say,
    until the first day of January, 1934; and that the said loan
    be repayable in Sydney, New South Wales, on the first day
    of January, 1934.

  3. That the interest on the said loan shall be payable at
    Sydney, New South Wales, at the rate of 5¼ per cent. per
    annum, payable half-yearly on the first day of January and
    the first day of July in each year during the currency of such
    loan.

  4. That the security for the said loan shall be a special
    rate of 1/70th of a penny in the pound upon the rateable
    value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
    property of the County of Waipawa as described in the First
    Schedule to the Waipawa County Act, 1907.

  5. That a sinking fund of £10 10s. per annum be estab-
    lished in connection with the said loan.

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a
special order made at a special meeting of the Waipawa
County Council held on the 6th day of October, 1916, and
confirmed on the 22nd day of November, 1916.

Waipawa County Council hereby resolves as follows:-

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a supplementary loan of £2,100,
authorized to be raised by the said Waipawa County Council,
under the above-mentioned Act, for completing the erection
of bridges and for completing the construction, improvement,
deviation, and metalling of roads within the Waipawa County,
the said Waipawa County Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of one-seventieth of a penny in the pound upon
the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of
all rateable property of the County of Waipawa as described in the
First Schedule to the Waipawa County Act, 1907, and that
