THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
[No. 138

Act, 1913 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), present a petition to His Excellency the Governor, praying that the boundaries of the said district might be altered so as to include such lands in the said district :

And whereas in respect thereof a Commission has been appointed to inquire and report as to the several matters mentioned in subsection three of section four of the said Act :

And whereas the Commission so appointed has reported that such lands should be included in the said district, and ought to become liable to the full extent for the future levy of a certain rate already made by the said Board :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by section four of the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that as on and from the date hereof the boundaries of the said district are hereby altered so as to include in the said district the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, and that the boundaries of the Hutt River District shall be those set forth in the Second Schedule hereto; and, with the like advice and consent, doth also direct that the lands so included shall be liable for the future levy of the rate heretofore made by the Board of the said district in respect of a loan of five thousand pounds authorized by ratepayers of the said district on the ninth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREA INCLUDED IN HUTT RIVER DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Section 45, Block X, Belmont Survey District; thence along the southern boundary of that section and part of the western boundary of Section 231 to Section 230, along the north-western boundaries of Sections 230, 439, and 440, Block X aforesaid, along the south-eastern boundary of Section 41, Block XIV, and along the eastern boundary of the Hutt River District as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 15th December, 1910, page 4205, to the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF HUTT RIVER DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of the Borough of Lower Hutt, being the south-eastern corner of Section No. 79, Block XIII, Belmont Survey District; thence easterly along the southern boundary of the said borough to a point in line with the boundary-line between Sections Nos. 7 and 8, Block XIII aforesaid; thence southerly by a right line to and by that boundary-line and its production to high-water mark of Wellington Harbour; thence easterly along high-water mark of Wellington Harbour to and across the mouth of the Hutt River, and by the southern boundary of the Borough of Lower Hutt to the south-eastern corner of the said borough; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of the Borough of Lower Hutt to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 225, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District; thence along the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 41, Block XIV aforesaid, the south-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 42 and 43, Block X, and the eastern boundary of Section No. 44, the southern and western boundaries of Section No. 45, Block X aforesaid, and part of the northern boundary of that section to the southernmost corner of Section No. 228, Block X aforesaid; thence along the western and north-western boundaries of that section, and along the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 69 and 68, Block X aforesaid, and along the north-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section to the road at its north-eastern corner; thence across that road and along the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 66 and 205, Block X aforesaid, and Section No. 204, Block IV, Belmont Survey District, to the southernmost corner of Section No. 81, said Block IV; thence along the south-western boundary of the last-mentioned section to its westernmost corner; thence along a right line to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 196, Block IV aforesaid; thence westerly along the southern boundary of that section to the north-western corner of Section No. 178; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 178 and 179, Block IV aforesaid, to the south-western corner of the latter section; thence across a road and along the northern and north-western boundaries of Section No. 187, Block IX, Belmont Survey District, and the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 60, 57, and 54, Block IX aforesaid, and along the southern boundary of the last-mentioned section to the eastern side of the Hutt Railway Reserve; thence along the eastern side of the said railway reserve to the south-western boundary of Section No. 37, Block IX aforesaid; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Section No. 37 and part of the northern boundary of Section No. 75, Block VIII, Belmont Survey District, to the north-western corner of the said Section No. 75; thence south-westerly along the boundary of the Borough of Lower Hutt to the place of commencement; excepting that portion of Section No. 10, Block VIII aforesaid, known as “The Hutt Park Township.”

Declaring Portion of Road in Block XV, Aria Survey District, to be a Government Road.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this fourth day of December, 1916.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE J. ALLEN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road declared a Government road: 3 roods 12·4 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Section 2 (Taranaki R.D), Block XV, Aria Survey District.

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41230, deposited, in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Declaring Ohauiti Settlement to Oropi Road, in the Tauranga County, to be a County Road.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this fourth day of December, 1916.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE J. ALLEN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of Ohauiti Settlement to Oropi Road, in the Auckland Land District, Tauranga County, commencing at the Waimapu Stream, and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction, adjoining or passing through Section 397, Blocks VII and VIII, Otanewainuku Survey District, Sections 396, 340, 394, and 395, 446, Block VII, Otanewainuku Survey District, and terminating at its junction with the Tauranga–Rotorua Road; being a distance of two miles, more or less. As the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41307, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.
