Notifying Lands in Canterbury Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
Kowai County.—Teviotdale Survey District.
PART Reserve 953, Block IX: Area, 3 acres 0 roods 32 perches; upset price, £25 12s.
Mostly good sandy soil, in grass and stubble, with some pinus insignis growing on a sandhill. Access by good road, eight miles from Rangiora.
Waimairi County.—Christchurch Survey District.
- Section 36820, Block VII: Area, 2 roods 25 perches; upset price, £25.
Rich, low-lying, flat, along the Kaputone Stream at Belfast. Access by good road, six miles from Christchurch.
Town of Waimate.
Reserve 951: Area, 2 roods 5 perches; upset price, £150.
Good flat land, in a good locality in the Town of Waimate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
EDWIN CLAUD HAYES, M.R.C.S.,
to be a Trustee, in the place of John Black, who has resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Waimate Public Cemetery, in conjunction with Andrew Carter, Alfred Garland, John Foley, Arthur James Manchester, and Rev. John Awdry Julius, previously appointed.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-sixth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

IN pursuance of the authority conferred upon me by an Order in Council made on the third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, in pursuance of section two of the Post and Telegraph Amendment Act, 1910, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in the present time of war, do hereby authorize and appoint
JOSEPH SNELL, Esq.,
of Wellington, to act during my pleasure as a Deputy Censor of Telegraphic Messages in respect of the telegraph stations at or near Wellington.

Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for New Zealand Military Forces revoked and others substituted.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke certain regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces made on the eleventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and in lieu thereof do hereby make the regulations in the Schedule hereto; and I do hereby declare that such revocation shall take effect and such regulations shall come into force as from the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
FINANCIAL INSTRUCTIONS AND ALLOWANCE REGULATIONS FOR THE NEW ZEALAND MILITARY FORCES.
REGULATIONS 229 to 246 (both inclusive) are hereby revoked, and the following regulations substituted in lieu thereof.
(a.) Territorial Force.
- A maintenance grant will be paid annually to each unit of the Territorial Force to meet the following expenses:—
(1.) Extra stationery, extra training manuals, and printing of regimental orders or instructions, cheque-books, and bank charges.
(2.) Provision of cleaning-material for arms, saddlery, horses, &c.
(3.) Provision of saddlery.
(4.) Extra appliances for camps.
(5.) Regimental bands.
(6.) Entrance fee for such military tournaments or shooting competitions as are approved by the Officer Commanding District.
(7.) Engraving of medals, cups, &c.
(8.) Rations for daylight parades or week-end camps, when approved by the Quartermaster-General.
(9.) Any purpose which in the opinion of the Commandant is of military benefit to the unit, and for which no provision has been made on the parliamentary appropriations.
