Appointment of Member of Revaluation Committee.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1915, I William Ferguson Massey, the Minister of Lands for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint William Boyd Stevenson, Esquire, Farmer, of Upcot, Awatere, to be a member of the Revaluation Committee for the Marlborough Land District, for a period of one year from the 1st day of January, 1916.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1915, I, William Ferguson Massey, the Minister of Lands for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Frederick George Horrell, Esquire, of Horrelville, to be a member of the Revaluation Committee for the Canterbury Land District, for a period of one year from the 1st day of January, 1916, in lieu of Frederick Horrell, Esquire, of Horrelville, Rangiora.

Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of a Road in Hundalee Survey District, Marlborough Land District.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority of section 213 of the Land Act, 1908, that the road described in the Schedule hereto was, on the 7th day of December, 1915, duly taken and laid off through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said Dominion, by Warrant dated the 12th day of November, 1915.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 20 perches.
Portion of Small Grazing-run No. 95, Block XV, Hundalee Survey District.

In the Marlborough Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/231, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Notice fixing Closing-hours of Mercers’ Shops in the Borough of Taumarunui, under the Shops and Offices Act.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all mercers’ shops in the Borough of Taumarunui has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, at 6 p.m., and Saturdays at 10 p.m.:

And whereas the Taumarunui Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the mercers’ shops within the Borough of Taumarunui:

Now, therefore, I, William Ferguson Massey, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby direct that from and after the 7th day of February, 1916, all such shops in the Borough of Taumarunui shall be closed in accordance with such requisition.

The notice gazetted on 27th April, 1911, is hereby varied accordingly, in so far as mercers’ shops are concerned.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XI, Omapere Survey District, for Road Purposes.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Block XI, Omapere Survey District; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kaikohe, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 2 roods 35·3 perches.
Portion of Omapere No. 3, Block XI, Omapere Survey District (S.O. 18231).

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 38475, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured blue.
