Member appointed Pongaroa Scenic Board.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the twenty-second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of that month, the control of certain land in the Wellington Land District known as the Pongaroa Scenic Reserve was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Warrant constituted a special Board by the name of the Pongaroa Scenic Board, in pursuance of section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908: And whereas the name of Francis Herbert, farmer, of Pongaroa, was omitted from the said Warrant:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby declare that the name of the said Francis Herbert shall be deemed to have been included in the said Warrant as from the date thereof, and the said Francis Herbert shall be deemed to be and to have been a member of the Pongaroa Scenic Board from that date accordingly.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Trustees for the Ngaruawahia Soldiers’ Cemetery appointed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in Part I of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the cemetery specified in Part II of the said Schedule.

Part II.—Name of Cemetery and Description of Land.

NGARUAWAHIA SOLDIERS’.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 26·9 perches, more or less, being Section 109A, in the Suburbs of Ngaruawahia North, Block VII, Newcastle Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east, south-east, and south-west by Section 109, Suburbs of Ngaruawahia North, 66, 194, and 120 links respectively; and towards the north-west by a public road, 176 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 2/286, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan 2465, blue.)

Vesting the Control of the Pukerangiora Pa Scenic Reserve, Block IX, Waitara Survey District, in the New Plymouth Scenic Reserves Board, under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act), in trust, for the purposes of scenery preservation, as from the date of this notice until the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), in the New Plymouth Scenic Reserves Board as constituted by notification dated the eleventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and published in Gazette of the eighteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.


SCHEDULE.

PUKERANGIORA PA.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 36 acres, more or less, and being part of Section 179, Huirangi District, situated in Block IX, Waitara Survey District. Taken for scenery-preservation purposes by Proclamation published in Gazette No. 77, of the 28th September, 1911, page 2907.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
