meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the racecourse situate in the District of Ashhurst, Oroua County, and known as the Ashhurst-Pohangina Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely :—
(a.) Bookmakers.
(b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference.
(c.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
The foregoing regulations of the Ashhurst-Pohangina Club were made and passed by the members of the Ashhurst-Pohangina Club on the fifteenth day of July, 1916, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the twenty-seventh day of September, 1916, presented to the Honourable William Alexander Sim, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by WILLIAM EDWIN CHARLES REID, of Dunedin, Public Accountant, a creditor of the said company; and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the twenty-fourth day of October, 1916; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing by himself or his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.
