That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of £18,000, authorized to be raised by the Palmerston North Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of being applied with other moneys to pay off the loan of £20,000 raised for the purpose of carrying out sewerage works, the said Palmerston North Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine-fortieths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property of the Borough of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty-six years —that is to say, until the 1st day of January, 1953, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Palmerston North Borough Council held 3rd October, 1916.

KAIRANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Kairanga County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eight hundred pounds (£800), authorized to be raised by the Kairanga County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming, metalling, and culverting the Hill Top Road, the said Kairanga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Hill Top Road Special-rating District, comprising the whole of the area included in the following boundaries:—

A line commencing at junction of county boundary with western boundary of part Section No. 333, Block VI, Arawaru Survey District, and following boundary in a north-eastern direction to junction with Hill Top Road; crossing road and following western boundary of Section No. 359, Block VI, Arawaru Survey District, in a northern direction to junction with northern boundary of said section; thence in an easterly direction along northern boundary to junction with north-western boundary of Section No. 321, Block VI, Arawaru Survey District; thence in a north-eastern direction along northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 321, 322, and 323, Block VI, Arawaru Survey District, to junction with Section No. 324, Arawaru Survey District; thence in a south-eastern direction along eastern boundary of Section No. 323, Block VI, Arawaru Survey District, to junction with Hill Top Road; thence following said road in a southerly direction to junction with part Section No. 315, Block VIII, Arawaru Survey District; thence following eastern boundaries of said section in a southerly direction to junction with county boundary; thence following county boundary in a north-western direction to junction with western boundary of part Section No. 333, Block VI, Arawaru Survey District.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of February and the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Council of the County of Kairanga held on the 3rd October, 1916.

WELLINGTON FARMERS’ BACON COMPANY (LIMITED).

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the members of the above company has been called for 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, the 24th day of October, 1916, to be held at the Olympic Theatre, Pahiatua, to receive the Liquidator’s statement of accounts and to hear his report as to the manner in which the liquidation of the company has been conducted.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL RESOLUTION MADE ON FRIDAY, THE FIFTEENTH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1916.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £120, authorized to be raised by the Cook County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for completing the Lavenham Bridge, the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one two-hundredth of a penny in the £1 upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Lavenham Bridge Special-rating District, comprising the Patutahi Riding of the County of Cook; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be four and a half per cent.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between us, the undersigned, JOHN SOMERVILLE, ROBERT MONTGOMERY SOMERVILLE, and HENRY SCOTT, in the business of Farmers carried on by us near Te Kuiti, in the Provincial District of Auckland, under the style or firm-name of “Somerville & Co.,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the twenty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
